I use Gmail for my personal email account. If you don't use Gmail, they updated their main interface (inbox) so that you have tabs across the page. These tabs are things like "Social", or "Promotions", etc. At the bottom of each of these tabs titles, there are names of the top most emails that you will find in this tab, if you click on it.
In promotions I see "Promotions: Blizzard Entertainment".
I stopped breathing. I delicately guided my mouse arrow to that tab and gently clicked. And the first email in the list is from Blizzard Entertainment. And the first word in big letters says CONGRATULATIONS.
I screamed in pure joy. My wife came running into my office and I shouted "I'm leaving early today - I GOT IN!!!!!!!!"
I grabbed my keys, put on my jacket, sunglass clips and gloves all in under 1 second. Was almost to the door of our studio and out to the car when I heard her say "Have fun playing Hearthstone."
I skidded to a hault. Slowly turned and stared at her.
"Hearthstone. That's what your email says. Congratulations and welcome to the Hearthstone Beta!"
I just stared at her. I dropped my keys on the ground, took off my gloves, sunglass clip and jacket all in one sad, fell swoop. I then sat back down at my desk and signed into Diablofans.com.
"I thought you were excited - isn't this the game you wanted to play?"
I thought they didn't send out emails for RoS beta? Someone on official forums mentioned that if you got in, you'll see the option to download the RoS beta client when you login to your Bnet account. He could have been wrong though.
The queue times are a bit daunting, but my secret hope is that they are being cool to test the servers over the weekend and then the Beta will get bigger/better and the PTR might also get bigger/better
Thus far they have exceeded many expectations and are delivering our hopes and dreams, early and unexpectedly.
In the mean time I made a HC wizard and am running around not the least bit worried about death. That's refreshing...
