Honestly I think that Loot 2.0 will be implemented in the same moment the AH goes down for good and that will be a few weeks before the expansion comes out - in order to get people hyped and accustomed to the new loot system.
I think at least Loot 2 is almost ready to go at this stage, they're just doing their usual "go back n change this n that", because they can never make their minds up about anything. I mean take a look at those ridiculous datamined buffs to most skills. is that the work of people who know what they're doing?
they're merely creating double the work for themselves, when they have to go back and change everything again.
I also think the AH shutdown will be a seperate patch from Loot 2.
I think March is too early considering that they said what we've seen is what they have. I don't think we saw ladder/devils hand etc because it's not done. I said in another thread, I think RoS is farther than people may speculate and the AH removal date really isn't relevant to anything. I think they are just giving plenty and plenty of fair warning so when the morons who complain on March 18 (Which you all watch, the forums will explode with morons who had no idea the AH was being removed) Blizzard can say hey look we told you in September, this is your oversight and not our problem. Which is fair.
You guys all say loot 2.0 after the auction house. But all new legendary will be soulbound so it can go live before the ah is shut down caise we wo t be able to sell them

1) legendary items dropped in solo-play will be soulbound (I hope they mean account bound)
2) legendary items dropped in co-op games can be traded between group members in a limited period of time.
So if that reveals to be true for pre-expansion loot 2.0 then thw AH and RMAH will be devoid of the new legendary items as they will be account bound and it´s also means that AH could run with Loot 2.0, so loot 2.0 will be released before closing of AH

I also think that loot 2.0 is coming before ah removal so january loot march ros but when PTR for loot will come then?

2.0 applies to all drops, not just legendaries.
Just because Legendaries might not appear on the AH means nothing in terms of a release date. Loot 2.0 is changing lots of stuff, not just legs, so it will most likely not happen until after the shutdown.
There is absolutely no reason why they would wait with Loot 2.0 up until the AH shuts down.
Reasons:
You won't trade Leg's and Set's anyway because they are soulbound
Anything you trade will be worthless when you level up in some time because it will be max lvl60, while the expansion max lvl is 70
Anything you can trade will benefit your future non-ladder characters only, so the ladder will be a fresh start anyway
So why wait with Loot 2.0? I think they should get it live as fast as possible and then fix all the bugs they've missed before RoS comes out.
They will have a hard enough time getting people used to not using the AH already. Giving people access to the new loot system without removing the AH first will just make the transition harder.
I know you want Loot 2.0 now. We all do. And I might have been willing to believe that we'd get it in a patch this year 3 months ago. But now we know that the AH is going away, there is zero chance we are getting it before that happens.
Loot drop rate is tied to the availability of loot. Drop rates are epicly bad because the ease of trading via the AH, blizzard has stated as much many times in the past. One major reason they are removing the AH is so that they can increase drop rates, and make the game more rewarding...loot 2.0 and the AH cannot co-exist. If loot 2.0 and the AH were both active, everyone who plays the game would be uber geared in a week, and the game would die before the expansion hit.
So, Loot 2.0 will go live either on the same day as the AH shutdown, or sometime after but not before. Blizzard above all other companies is extra careful about announcing release dates, and once they have made that decision, I find it very hard to believe it will be changed.
Ok, so I stopped watching at the point where they said all legendaries and set items won't be tradeable except to your friends for a short period of time. Is this correct? If this holds true, I think I may be moving on to another game. Although I may not trade that often, everyone should have that option if they have a high rolling item, but don't necessarily play a character that would use it.

Mostly correct. You said you can trade to your friend for X time but it is more to the other ppl that were in the game when the item dropped.
But don't forget that rare will be tradable as crafting material will be too.
With the clans I ll be mostly playing with 3 different class so we can share the loot instead of being 4 barb needing the same legendary.

Listen to the video under your post and they say that only legendary will be soulbound.

But what if you do get the same legendary? Even though it's not an upgrade for you, it could be for someone else. sounds like they are forcing you to salvage it or sell to vendors. It just doesn't sound right to me.
Edit: if soul bound items in diablo work as they do in WoW, then we can trade those legendaries as long as we don't equip them? If that's the case, I would be ok with that.

The only way I would be OK with this is that you get a significant amount of high end crafting mats to craft high end loot

ok this is just my speculations....
Fact : 18.3.2014 -> AH will be terminated
Closing ceremony held by Blink 182 -> 182 -> 18.2
Check your calendar, yes 18.2. is tuesday, so it could be patch day....
Speculation, is 18.2.2014 release date for pre-expasion patch? Or it´s only lucky coincidence?
No I am not paranoid.... !

it's about as clever (not) as the Dol rune conspiracy.

I'm really disappointed that we got no ETA information at blizzcon. It was really the one thing I was looking forward to. I vote for Q3 next year.

They probably cannot change the date for legal reasons, since real money is involved.
So, Loot 2.0 will go live either on the same day as the AH shutdown, or sometime after but not before. Blizzard above all other companies is extra careful about announcing release dates, and once they have made that decision, I find it very hard to believe it will be changed.
