Well for right now, I'm getting my Wizard up to Paragon 100. Hit 92 yesterday. The slug is in full swing, but managing to do archon pretty well on MP6 with almost maxed out +XP (Hellfire Ring + Leorics + Helm ruby)
After that, my poor WD that's been sitting at level 9, my last class to get to 60 will be next (have almost all the gear for it found during Paragon leveling, so, why not I say!
lastly, I have been picking up Flawless gems like a mad man, will have most likely 600-700 of each by P 100. Going to turn them into a respectable level, make use of AH for tomes now while I can.
After that...TAKE A BREAK...wrists, back can use it. Doesn't help that my job is AutoCAD drafting than doing site/D3 farming.
Will be looking forward to RoS News at BlizzCon though, will be in attendance.
Well, to be fair, we could be talking about any game. If someone tells me they play it for at least 8-10 hours per day, every day, I'd ask a similar question.
Absolutely, anyone could ask that question. But if you're the creator of a thread asking about playtime and say in the very first sentence that your purpose is "not to flame anyone", and then you do exactly what you promised not to do... well, you can't troll anymore obvious, can you? And it's not like he doesn't have some kind of history, as CardinalMDM already mentioned.
Many people responded by answering the question without any judgement about his "loaded question" in the first post. Instead of taking this thread to the next level to provide a summary and saying "well, looks like there are still some people who enjoy the game" he picks the next best guy and attacks him personally.
The most disrespectful thing anyone can do to a fellow poster is not read the things they say. Calling someone's posts "walls of text" is a fancy way of saying "I don't have the attention span to listen to what anything you have to say, but please, take my word seriously." I've had debates with other folks on this forum, who wrote insanely long posts, and at least before I got completely exhausted, I respected them enough to read their posts and respond to as much as I could.
Search through my threads and prove me wrong. The threads history doesn't lie.

Finally, a post in which you say you pick the game up again for another 30 minutes (seems like an awfully masochistic pattern), and were met by the "match summary" screen. http://www.diablofan...33#entry1195633
For a moment, I couldn't figure out what you meant, then I realized you were talking about PvP. Well, there's something original and thought provoking...and also completely out of nowhere. I'd keep going, but I'm not clear on how to search for topics farther back than that via your Dfans profile. Though, I think the point is proven.
I still play with my girlfriend and we do a lot of Key Warden runs. We also leveled each class to 60 and our next goal is to have our main character P100.
Back to say that CardinalMDM is awesome, and that I always enjoy reading his thorough and objective posts. Another win here!

i would choose my own religion and worship my own spirit, but if he ever preached to me i wouldn't want to hear it. i'd drop him, a forgotten god, languishing in shame; and then if i hit stormy seas, i'd have myself to blame.
I'm playing a little more since RoS announcement only because I want to get all five classes at least to lvl 60 so they can all share the combined paragon points when the expansion comes. It's a bit easier now to level because of the AH. Spend 5 million and one shot everything all the way through to lvl 60 which is another reason to get there now... before the AH closes and it will be a little harder to power level.
Yeah I know people are getting from lvl 1 to lvl 60 paragon 100 in a little less than two days. I'll never powerlevel that hardcore because I think it's boring. For me getting from 1 to 60 in a weekend to me is a great weekend.
after i get all five classes to 60 i'll slow down again and work on my barb who is paragon 76. getting him to 100 would be a great goal for me before the expansion hits.
Back to say that CardinalMDM is awesome, and that I always enjoy reading his thorough and objective posts. Another win here!
Thank you, :-)
Ya know what I also like doing, when trolls pop up? When people troll on Facebook or YouTube, I click on their name to view their profiles. Not to hack them or vandalize their page or send hate messages to them or anything, just to see what they're up to, that they choose to not keep private. Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilarious!
Facebook profiles don't show too much, usually just status updates (which can occasionally be entertaining, though), but YouTube profiles show videos a person has uploaded themselves. That's realiably good stuff right there. I'll post an intelligent comment on a YouTube video, praising the poster or saying good things about the topic, because I'm a positive person like that...someone will come in and flame me with hate comments, I'll click on their name to view their profile, and they're busy uploading videos of them flexing in front of mirrors and crashing their bike into trees...it's just great fun all around seeing what a person deems to be cool, while they're tell me I'm an imbecile.
It may not reaffirm my faith in humanity, but at least reassures my place in it.
I still play every day. I have a paragon level 100 Wizard (who is my main), and I'm currently working on getting all achievements. I strongly recommend for those who are getting a bit bored with the game at this point, to take a look at the achievements. Some of them (a lot of them) are really a lot of fun to try and obtain! Especially the Unique Collection achievement. I am trying to hunt each Unique monster, there are 82 in all and I have around 16 or 17 left to kill. It's kind of a cool feeling to be a sort-of bounty hunter, aside from the normal loot or exp runs. At the same time, I'm doing this with a Demon Hunter to try to get the 100K demons killed achievement as well. He's also gaining paragon levels, and I'm getting legendaries. So it's like killing 4 birds with one stone.
I also leveled each class to 60 in both Hardcore and Softcore.
TL;DR: The achievements are worth trying to get, and will breathe life into the game until RoS. It has for me, anyway.
So much to quote but.. I forget this is the internetz and the effort is not worth it.
Anyway, let me ask you something (you=whoever is reading except Maka, he's special) if the guy said that he plays 14-16 hours per day instead of 8-10, would you judge me the same?.
Well, to be fair, we could be talking about any game. If someone tells me they play it for at least 8-10 hours per day, every day, I'd ask a similar question.

Well.....it IS Indimix. Take with grain of salt.
@CardinalMDM: man, you have waaaaay too much patience. Not criticising, just......amazed
@Bagstone...this is exactly what aggravates me, not just about Indimix's posts, but about most people who flame pretty much anything. They ask a rhethorical question that some people take seriously. Thing is, nowhere do they acknowledge, "gosh, guess I was wrong, people are still playing, very cool." Instead, they stick to their guns and don't waver...which, at times, is an admirable trait...as long as you're willing to admit you're wrong. You and I are willing to do that when it happens, which people respect. Indimix does not do that...which is why people don't respect his posts as much. There's no debate, just childish responses.
@Maka...thank you. I am pretty patient, in more than ways than a few. And you're right...grain of salt taken.
1 : The announcement of the ladder made it clear that anything I do now will only affect non lader. Which I will not play. So anything I do now is just wasting time.
2 : The announcement of removing the AH leaves me unsure if I even want to continue to play this game.
I know there hasn't been any real informatoin on how Ladders will work, however i was under the inpression that they were going to count paragon xp earned / term. So start at 0 at launch and track what you have accumulated (on your total account pLevel) over the season. I'm sure that may need to be reconsidered since the highest level paragons do have an efficiency advantage. However, detatching the gold, characters and paragon xp would be clucky in the environment they have developed. Also, 10 character limit doesn't work out too well with simi annual fresh season.
Yes, people still play this game, they love this game and will be so next couple years. And yes, 12million copies sold last year... Take something crazy like 60% away(if people dropped the game), that would still be 4,8 million active players. Shocking i know, but just because you dont like it? Hm.
Why would people create topic here(think about it)?
1)They want to whine.
2)They are stuck.
The majority is here, just to whine and nothing else.
But have you ever seen, "OMFG this game is so great" topics? No? Ofcourse you wont, that is not how the communities work. You only use them when you are in trouble. So, just because you see lots of hate-topic, doesnt mean anything at all.
Ludo, I remember you...the guy who broke down the complaints about multiboxing by comparing it to the AH and breaking it down to #1 and #2, ;-) I see your pattern still stays strong.
Aside from your sales numbers there, I think you might have DiabloFans confused with the Battle.net community. There's way more hate and vitriol over there, than there is here. Granted, this forum has negativity from a small handful of folks, but this one's a reasonably healthy community.
As for "OMFG this game is so great topics," surprisingly, they do pop up. You should've seen the forums after the Reaper of Souls announcements...after the Gamescom interviews...after the datamined changes lately...after the AH shutdown announcement....
Truthfully, this game's support is stronger than I thought. Now, does that mean that 12 million people will be playing by the time Reaper of Souls hits? Of course not. But I do think player numbers will be higher than they are now, and have been in a while, as the game will be way better than it's been. It'll feel like an entirely new game.
That's why I made the distinction about this forum. Not everyone who posts on DiabloFans uses it as a platform for flaming the game and other people. We actually have some interest in discussing the game, :-)
Hey, just wanted to plug Terraria some more! Someone above mentioned it, and I wanted to say I've sunk a bunch of time into it and it's a great game... definitely has more of a "progression" to the gameplay than other sandboxes (e.g. Minecraft) in my opinion. Plus, I grew up on NES and I love the old-school sprites. It's available on mobile now as well as PC, and a HUGE patch was just released that put a bunch of new stuff to do into the game, so check it out!

i would choose my own religion and worship my own spirit, but if he ever preached to me i wouldn't want to hear it. i'd drop him, a forgotten god, languishing in shame; and then if i hit stormy seas, i'd have myself to blame.
But that is also, why i like your contribution to this community and the way you argument(doesnt matter if we agree on something). But i dont agree on the "We actually have some interest in discussing the game," part. Who are "we"? A handful of crybabies? Man, i just cant handle them anymore and that is my only issue.
Well thank you, I appreciate that... :-) And I agree, I can't handle the crybabies anymore either. That's kinda why I mostly post here on DiabloFans and not the Battle.net forums, but because like I said, the Battle.net forums are way more rife with immaturity and hate and ignorance.
Then again, you don't agree that there are people HERE who are interested in discussing the game, but clearly there are. Check out the Active Skills post, I'm having a spirited conversation with some folks there that's proving very insightful. There are definitely a lot of crybabies in the "D3 Community" as a whole, I can agree with that statement. And don't get me wrong, I'm not thinking that just because this particular forum has a group of intelligent, active, and debate worthy regulars in it that the game is hustling and bustling and alive.
I just really like the DiabloFans forum and the people in it, as there's more of a chance if I post something here, people will be supportive and offer conversation, as opposed to spitting hate and spam as their first instinct, :-)
I, and it seems we (as in most of the responses in this thread), have already answered that yes, we are playing the game currently.

@CardinalMDM I dont udnerstand why do you confuse the current state of the game with what it's gonna be in <insert amount of months here>.
We, or at least I, am talking about if anyone is playing the game today, not when the proper fixes are released.
Real easy...then I'm done with this thread, :-) Because in <insert amount of months here>, many of these problems in "the current state of the game" will be null and void. It's not even like people can install and play early builds, like they can with D2. Right now if I want, I can uninstall D2 from my PC, reinstall, and never download any of the patches. I can play D2 like it occurred literally on launch day...
But because D3 on PC is online only, in order to play it, downloading system patches are required. Meaning, when people start experiencing the updates, many of the problems D3 suffered getting to this point will become a memory.
You want to spend the next <insert amount of months here> criticising the current state of the game, be my guest. But pretty soon, many of those criticisms will be non-existent.
That's why I'm focusing on what's going to be, instead of what currently is. In fact, maybe I should turn the question on you...
You clearly know what D3 will be turning into soon...or at least, what direction it looks to be headed in...why do you insist on dwelling on what will soon be the past, instead of looking toward a more hopeful future?
Why are you over complicating things?, the thread is: "are you playing right now?" your answer is: "the game will be awesome in the future".
Two completely unrelated things.
Actually, there are more reasons to stop playing until the changes are made, than to play right now, because like someone said before, it could be a waste of time.
Why are you over complicating things?, the thread is: "are you playing right now?" your answer is: "the game will be awesome in the future".

Some people are playing now because the news of the changes in the future got them back into the game. Expansions ALWAYS do this - I've been through numerous expansions in WoW and, without fail, people who haven't played in over a year suddenly show up for the last 1-2 months of an expansion because they're getting ginned up for the new expansion.
Try not to be so damned dense. That's why people call you a troll. If you think that RoS/Loot 2.0 news and people playing NOW are completely unrelated then you need to take a step back, breathe, and stop trying to hate so hard because it's quite obvious that there is some potential connection.
This is not rocket science here, it's a fairly common occurence. Talk of an expansion, or patch, makes people come back.
