What a shitty question. Way to go, guy, obviously he doesn't understand how to do yes no questions. I HOPE I BECOME A MILLIONAIRE THIS YEAR! Ummm, yes?

I think that guy was quoting tweets, wasn't he? Anyways, I think most of the other questions were really good. There were many recent interviews that had worse questions. Lots of interesting stuff, in particular lore-wise, in this one.
This. I hope the community does not drag him down.
I really doubt they will. He doesn't seem as nervous to me as some people have suggested, but he seems really enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the game and what the yelling, shouting community on the forums wants.
Now we can speculate all day that Blizzard's now-hiring email contained 'must be super energetic and make all the players happy!', but even if he's in such a position just because of that, it was still the right move. They seem to be a 'tad' more transparent too, at least on some parts =)
Can you picture Jay "We doubled it" Wilson announcing the expansion? I can't
I really liked Jay Wilson, and I feel horrible for him having to step down. The direction the game went, with him in charge, just wasn't one that was best for the game though. Now I have no idea what exactly HIS influence was on topics such as the AH (for all we know Blizzard higher-ups pushed it through), but I'm really happy with the direction D3 is going now. I do with Jay the best of luck though.
I would be very surprised if they did. Not knowing how long the beta phase would normally run for, I still think that would put it at an earlier release than my previous predictions though. If they're shooting for a 2013 beta, that would mean they're a lot more certain of their ideas, the balance and the direction than they were for the original release. If so, the confidence gives me a little bit of extra hope.
Well you can look at it this way; They've known they needed something like loot 2.0 since early after launch. I think it's safe to say they've been working hard on everything loot 2.0 encompasses for at least 6, if not 8 months. The expansion itself - the new act, the new class and the mystic, is relatively easy compared to everything loot 2.0 has in it. The leaked list of release dates from what back when is only 6 months off of what has shipped so far, when looking at D3. D3 got pushed back about 6 months because of the massive overhaul they had to do, and all the AH and RMAH problems. Keeping the pattern, even with the pushed back vanilla D3, RoS *should* launch the end of this year / jan-feb of 2014.
Now on to the topic of the beta. A diablo beta is completely different from other Blizzard games. They aren't going to spoil the story, so we aren't going to be able to test the whole game, which is fine. But this also plays into the whole 'short beta' that D3 was supposed to have. And now since the base / core / engine of the game is and has been complete, I honestly think it'l be a 2 month beta. I can completely see a beta announcement at Blizzcon starting soon after, and launch being around mid Feb.
7:32 minute mark.
This does not translate to "beta this year!" I mentioned that in other threads already, and I'll do the same here.
Sure, Josh hopes for a 2013 beta and I think it's possible, but don't get your hopes up just yet.

Then he would have said maybe like half his other questions. Its this year.

BUT, that's my pipedream!
