I think the point of the thread was to change/alter the functions of skills a bit more than just pure number tweaking
I proposed changes that I thought would make more skills viable. Changing the numbers does this. I have also proposed changes on the functionality of some for example:
Impale - Awareness deals AOE damage on target and not centered on you, increase AOE damage from 75 to 90
Vault
- Tumble to a destination up to 35 yards, meaning you can tumble to a destination below 35 yards if you want to
- Action Shot allows you to fire primary attacks while tumbling
Bola Shot
- Acid Strike hits all mosnters within the arc and does an additional 60% damage over 2 seconds
Evasive Fire
- Holding shift will stop back flip
Sharpshooter
- Critical hits do 5% more damage and consecutive critical hits do 15 % more damage.
and many more functionality changes in my previous post
I had fun thinking of ways to make every skill, rune and passive viable for the Demon Hunter and hope they get some love.

Actually, I think the less the "core concept" of the skill is changed, the more likely a change is to happen.
For instance his suggested changes to Impale are quite simple to implement. And simply rasing the % of damage dealt might cause it to raise in popularity just like it happened with Rapid Fire, Wave of Light, Exploding Palm and Firebats (just to name a few).
Things that need a rework are probably the ones which just can't compete with their counterparts. Things like Crippling Wave/Mangle probably won't be popular even if you give it 250% weapon damage (because of how it works).
I came up with another concept for skills. They need to revamp them so they interact in different ways with each other. A couple examples:
1. I'm a barbarian that uses Earthquake and Revenge. Everytime that I use revenge, it extends the duration of earthquake by 1 second and lowers the cooldown by 10 seconds or it increases the radius of the earthquake by 3 yards.
2. I'm a DH that uses sentry and rapid fire. When ever I am within 10 yards of one of my sentries and I use rapid fire, then my sentry starts to use rapid fire too.
3. I'm a wizard. I shoot an energy twister through my blizzard to have it collect ice shards to deal additional damage with a chance to freeze on hit.
Finding those skill combinations that work well together and fit your playstyle would make the game much more interesting.

-Arcane orb is just crappy damage. It needs a buff all over the place. Maybe 100% increase in base? so it hits for 300%? then 360 with obliteration rune. Something like that? Shoot maybe 360% base? (dreaming)
-Meteor: I was really looking foward to this spell, until I saw its damage. It's kinda useless cause it's so weak. I would think it'd need more damage all around..I mean it's a meteor coming down from the heavens striking down demon spawn!
-Blizzard...is boring cause it can't stack...really? It really is a kill joy :(. They should be able to stack.
-WHERE ARE THE FIRE SPELLS?! I MISS FIREBALL. I feel like there isnt enough "range" ablities for the wizard. Wizard's to me don't play like how a mage, or sorceror would play? Especially with a CD on teleport. Its like forcing wizards to go melee, which is fine in some aspects...but wizards are squishy..so why would you want them to have lots of close range attacks? I mean I guess it'd be okay if there was a huge damage increase in all the close range attacks, but EH.
-Ray of frost (black ice rune). I feel like the patch is too small. I know its a way to balance it...but it's realllllly small for my taste!
-Hydra should be allowed to have multiple out regardless of rune. Also up the damage imo so it's more viable.
-I wish all the primary spells specifically lightning ones were buffed damage wise? They just feel very very weak or maybe creating a new skill that is a lighting range attack that hits for 350% or something of the sort. I really do like the runes for the lightning spells..but again they're kinda weak. I understand its a primary spell, but I would like a new skill that shoots lighting of some sort.
-Wave of force just needs to be reworked. Maybe more damage..? .
-Teleport needs to be allowed through walls like it used to. Also no CD on it. Just a straight AP cost. I mean that should be how a wizard plays! The kiting...going through walls ETC. I miss diablo 2 sorceror honestly. I miss the range abilities and the teleporting. I was REALLLLY looking foward to the teleporting and kiting aspect of a wizard, until I saw the Cool down on teleport...and not being able to go through walls. LAME.LAME. :(. I was really looking foward to spam teleport and shooting arcane orbs constantly, or even stacking up blizzards!!
-I feel like this game isn't chaotic enough with the skills. It's so limited, I'm not sure if thats on purpose? but I do not like it, I think a fair amount of people would agree. I think with the improvements it has helped a lot, such as the buffs to monk damage and the wizard damage on some skills. I do want to use other spells like these above! Create some new fun builds...but at this current time there aren't many builds avaible IMO for wizard. I hate CM wizards. They're fun for like 5 mins..then my wrist is tired :P.
Maybe introduce syerngies to the game for skills. IE. Use ray of frost and blizzard get 15% increase in damage/less AP cost so you can teleport more and spam stackable blizzard and ray of frost...or something of the sort.
Ancient Spear seems to be a fairly silly skill as it is right now. Even with a 50% 300th spear and the +damage passive it seems fairly novelty. I don't even think a massive damage boost makes it appealing.
A big issue for me is it having a cooldown. It isn't like you're using it to gain tons of fury and it's basically a single target (barring the pierce and three prong runes which don't add that much aoe anyways) so it's not anywhere near a good means to do damage or gain fury.
Perhaps the rune could be a fourth fury generator where it has no cooldown and gains 3-8 fury on hit.
Ground Stomp is fun but I would rather use Leap with stun for the mobility. Perhaps give it a rune that switches it from fury generator to spender. Costing about 25 fury and have it do damage in addition to the stun. It would be a much more enjoyable skill if it were spamable at the cost of resources rather than using it as an infrequent stun/fury generator.

That's a mechanical synergistic quality to the skills. It doesn't really modify the values of the skills with one another. If there was a skill that could make enemies line up, then it would make piercing attacks more attractive to play but most people want to mash buttons and setting up tactical plays like that doesn't provide any considerable benefit (unless your playing HC I guess).

There is for melee mobs. It's called kiting.
Though seriously, a cone attack that shoved everything in it towards the centre line would be sweet. Seismic Slam rune? Stone Vise, say? And then you could use Ancient Spear - Harpoon with No Escape, or Furious Charge, for the line attack.

Create 4 Arcane Orbs that orbit you, exploding for 110% weapon damage as Arcane when enemies get close.
You can have a maximum of 8 Arcane Orbs at a time.
Arcane Orb: Gravity Sphere
Modify the orb to pull in up to 6 enemies within 20 yards on impact before exploding for 300% weapon damage as Arcane.
Arcane Orb: Frozen Orb
The orb will pierce through targets, doing damage as Cold to any enemy it passes through. Critical hits freeze affected enemies for 1.5 seconds.
Wizard Passives: Pyromania - All damage is increased by 20% when standing on molten fire you created. (replaces conflagration) Ouroborus - You can have up to 2 hydras active at the same time.
Meteor: Catastrophe
If the initial impact of the Meteor causes a Critical Hit, the molten fire expands to 12 yards and deals 312% weapon damage as Fire over 6 seconds. (replaces Liquefy)
I always love the idea of having a wolf as a companion but I cant find a way to make viable right now... I think that the wolf should give some kind of bonus or a buff, or even an special ability idk... I just wish it was more useful.
