Does anybody have any thoughts on how to prioritize getting MF on your gear versus getting stronger gear to play at higher MP levels? As an example, I recently spent 15-20mil to gear up my Barb with respectable MF running MP2: http://us.battle.net...23/hero/3108345 (not including the Echoing Fury which I found myself afterwards B))
Assume for the sake of argument that your Paragon level is relatively low, enough that you still benefit from having 200~ MF. Here's how I see it:
Pros of MF Gear:
- Cheaper than gearing for the equivalent amount of MF from Monster Power
- Fastest way to start farming at respectable MF with a modest investment
Pros of pure DPS gear:
- Faster Paragon leveling
- Better Hellfire ring farming
- More gold find and bonus items
What do you guys think? Is it best to go heavy on MF stacking and only rise up in MP when you can do so without sacrificing MF? Or to ignore MF completely and get to higher MPs as fast as possible? Or is there a statistically ideal compromise, like say sitting at +150% MF from gear + paragon?
That's probably the main concern of most players right now. But lower mp also nets noticeable higher xp/h so just stick to your mf gear and those keys/mats will drop eventually.
Well, that depends entirely on your gear. Let's say that you want to kill 30 monsters per minute or whatever - with great DPS gear maybe you can achieve a killing speed at MP6 that you could only do at MP1 with mediocre gear. Assuming that you only raise the MP when it's efficient to do so, the question is how much you can raise it by spending a given amount of money on DPS instead of MF, and what the returns are for doing so.
