edit: I've seen some reports on the official forums that some people are being able to play (after trying to log in a ton of times). Trying to access the GAH won't retrieve the payment options (yes, gold auction house only). Some people have said that restarting the modem helps, I doubt it, as this definitely seems a server side issue.
Getting really annoyed that I keep losing Auctions due to disruptions in the service. Would be nice if they would actually acknowledge problems in their notification box on the login screen.
lost a Fire Walkers AH that was scheduled to about half hour ago with a bid as low as 200k... I would've probably be able to snipe it with 400-600k...
I can't use the AH but have been playing through all this.
Reading some of the responses on the Bnet forums, you'd think some minor server issues were a life shattering event. I truly think many gamers these days suffer from one form of mental illness or another.
I can't believe people are still complaining about it being an online-only game. I'm ok with the game being offline every once in awhile as long as it gets support and updates as it has been.
Let me get this straight: We deserve a company to give everyone extra gold because they are fixing the game (which took hours of labor to create updates already)?
It's time for a lot of you to put on adult pants and get over it already. The world doesn't revolve around you, and if something so terrible as not being able to play a video game for a couple of hours shatters your whole existence, you have more important things to address than the downtime of a video game.
While Blizzard is fixing whatever they feel is important to disrupt your precious couple hours of gaming (to ultimately enhance your gaming experience in the future), it would be in many of your best interest to go outside, preoccupy yourself with real world, worthwhile experiences, and fix yourself a little (to ultimately enhance your life experiences in the future).

Are you for serious? I kinda took the silly emoticon that he was probally joking around.. I am thinking you need to loosen your adult pants a little. They are cutting off the blood flow...
I knew this was going to happen with 1.0.4, so many changes. Yesterday I did pick up a couple good items in Act 1 so I guess that compensates a little for this inevitable software code adjustment.

They just restarted the server again :\ almost screwed up my act 3 run, I wonder how serious this is. Its been over three months since launch, I can tell this online thing is gonna be something that plagues this game til the day it dies.
Diablo Players: Cool. This patch is so much "fun". Blizzard: Hmm, looks like the players are having way too much "fun". //Shuts down servers. Like a Boss.
A server can only take so much fun and then it shuts down automatically.
This should never ever ever ever happened, under any circumstance for any reason. Blizzard should be forced to provide financial compensation for every failed login, its the only language these people understand.
Why are login, passwords, and internet required to play a game that 90% of people play single player?

Self entitled much?
Game has always been advertised as online only, you directly supported online only when you BOUGHT the game.
Online only comes with some server issues now and then, thats the reality, come to terms with it.
If you dont want to support online only, why would you BUY an online only game?

EDIT
Nevermind, I just got in on the login attempt after I hit 'post.'
Dafuq?, it was a joke....
Srs bizns
If you think that GW2 won't suffer from problems than you're as delusional as 90% of the Bent posters. The grass is always greener......etc
I can only laugh at you people acting like a minor server shut-down is something so terrible. I've gotten way more than my $60 worth from D3 so far.

If you think Arena Net doesnt have network issues from time to time you are hilariously misinformed.
