The way he worded it, it sounded like he was insinuating that Legs are by default the BiS strictly due to their color.
Actually, toward your point, I think Blizz is very very close to striking a perfect BiS balance between rares and Legs. This 1.04 patch appears to have been a rousing success on all fronts. There is much to do yet, but what a step forward out of that rather flat launch.
WTF is going on. How can ppl already have more than 1 legendary oO. I'm farming act 1 and 2 and proggressing through act 3 and found roughly 1 in like 250hrs play time. After this patch it either seems to have it's dropchance increased or the luck dice rolled on the right side for some ppl. (EU here and can't wait to start playing. I'm sick at home \o/)

Afaik it's 5% life steal, which would be pretty neat.
It doesn't show up in the stats though, so it's probably wrong. I'd love to see some maths on that life steal ring.
update: I tested it and it was 456 life/s regen when standing near an opponent.
In a full act 3 clear I've got 2 legendaries - Goldskin with 17 resists and over 200+ armor (so both rolls rather fine)
and pretty neat Empyrean Messanger - with a bit over 1k dps and over 200 vit
man I wish I could find some legendaries been farmin for 2 days now havn't gotten anything exciting really

A lot of the items they changed are so much nicer than before... I need to get back to farming! BYE!
I myself haven't had much luck yesterday, cleared acts 1 and 2, and did a Kulle run, but saw no legendaries and maybe two rares that were worhty enough to avoid the salvaging machine of doom. Hopefully things will pick up today after work.

It deals roughly 10% of my DPS in its fire path and doenst seem to proc LOH or Crits...
Still im very satisfied with it.
Approx stats (will update real stats over lunch):
+90 str
+ 100 LoH
+ Crit Damage 25%
+ 4% life
+ 15% Gold Find
+ Drain Life from enemies around you
The proc is not very specific so I'm not sure how good it is. I play a WD who is pretty squishy so it's hard to try out.
I'm having a hard time selling it. Even asking just 1-2M I'm not getting any takers. I hope you guys have better luck!
I want to try that one out as i currently use a Bul Kathos in my ww barb.
