Initially, you stated that Diablo 3 was rushed because of the pressure from the community. Then you described Blizzard as a company which usually delivers perfectly balanced, bug-free games (or at least games much more polished than Diablo 3).
But I think neither statements are true, and with your last post, you kind of agree with me
No. What I said was that due to not having enough time _features_ were pushed back. And common sense things like the AH updates we just got (front page). Bugs will exist always no matter how much you push the game.
Why don't all the people who say that this was indeed Jay Wilson who posted think about it for a second? Why would he risk doing any of that stuff on one of the most popular sites on the internet where he would 100% get screenshoted and commented on? He may or may not think like this, but i really highly doubt he is that stupid or immature to say stuff like this on Facebook. I bet all of my money that this is a troll post.
Or perhaps Jay Wilson doesn't know how Facebook function and made a honest mistake thinking he was chatting only with the dev team? Lol anyway...
Why would he risk it? Probably because he wasn't thinking and potentially didn't realize that Chris's profile could be seen amongst others commenting there and beyond. We'll never truly know, but what we do know is that the damage has been done, and from my personal opinion...I'm not willing to buy the idea that this was an elaborate troll. No, I think Jay said that and he made one massively royal screw up, tried to cover it up, but this being the Internet and his already shaky reputation amongst Diablo gamers and what not...this is going to bite him in the *** extremely hard. Methinks he let his anger slip, thought he was safe to post that on Chris's Facebook page, and...well...he's going to learn the hard way that it wasn't and that he should've kept his personal comments to himself or used a less...public form of social networking to say things like that.
isn't it saying a lot that the only reason I bought diablo 3 was because I loved diablo 2 - and prayed diablo 3 would turn more and more into diablo 2 with a better engine, new classes more areas, monsters & items & better graphics?
Yes, it's saying that you need to go play diablo 2.
Yeah...not so much. Also, regarding the comment made that it was the fastest selling PC title, I'm pretty sure I could've pressed dog shit into a circle and put that in a case labelled "Diablo 3" and it would've sold. Delusional
Would it still be topping out PC sales months later too?
So many people are trying to find drama out of things like this to justify the sense of entitlement they derive from feeling let down by D3. I totally agree with the David's opinions in the video interview. Diablo 3 was a major let down for me. It makes me sad and upset when I think about what was, what is and what D3 could have been. However, Diablo.Incgamers has been such a home of negativity, encouraging descent and negative drama for a VIDEO GAME these last few years that this is just another way they can try and put down a game they run a fan site for, yet clearly hate. Tabloids meets fansite.
i dont know where you get the impression from, that incgamers would hate on d3? they are definitely not on blizzards goody list and thats probably why they are covering 360 degrees and not just 180.

People on the "goody list" are allowed to cover 360 as well. There's no special stipulations in the fansite agreement that says "Only say nice things about us."
If you're referring to why incgamers isn't on the list, well that's a very old and different matter.

Just because a news site can't independently verify the veracity of a story (in this case, whether or not Jay Wilson did, in fact post that comment) and therefore either don't post a story, or post a story detailing the situation but stipulating that it is ALLEGED.... doesn't mean they're somehow in Blizzard's pocket or not giving fair coverage.
Being able to independantly verify news stories is important. Posting false news stories can lead to libel lawsuits. This isn't a joke and sites like Kotaku aren't going to get caught up in the "lynch Jay Wilson" mob and risk what would amount to a slam dunk court case for Blizzard.
This is the real world. Publishing false stories is not a game. There are real-world consequences to not properly investigating your news stories and just publishing unsourced rumors as if they are facts.
And, no, some people on a forum who say "I clicked it, it was Jay Wilson" is NOT sourcing your story.
Honestly, I applaud the news people on this site for NOT spotlighting something which clearly at this point is unverifiable short of a Blizzard press release. It shows a decent bit of respect for the integrity of the site and the process of authoring a story.

Yeah, keep that dream alive kiddo.
Yes. There are so many other games to choose from...
Bottom line is what he said. ANY game could have been released with the name "Diablo 3" from Blizzard Entertainment, and it would have sold millions. That's all there is to it.
IF you don't believe that, take a trip to Whimsyshire...
Someone managed to get a screencap before Jay deleted his post:

Wonder how he can say, "Fuck that loser", when that "loser's" brain baby is putting his meals on the table. Maybe Jay has daddy issues.
I'm not surprised he said it, I'm not sure what to say about the daddy issues, maybe he does have some, maybe not. I don't think negatively upon the situation at all, Jay's been through a lot of stuff, the fan feedback on the game, the media, and now this.

Ha. Bagstone.
But yeah it would explain their comments if they werent paying attention and assumed it was Jay.
Anyways yeah we'll never hear the official story I'm sure and it's sad because I really want to know what exactly happened.
Me too.

Where did Molster ever state he didn't think it was real? My opinion on the situation doesn't reflect the whole staff.
Please don't post just looking for an argument.
