After 1.0.4 is released, won't we be able to wear two pieces of the old Natalya's set and two pieces of the new Natalya's set, giving us +14% crit chance (if the two piece bonus is the same)?
As was mentioned in the developer's blog today, new sets will have new names and thus be entirely different sets from pre-1.0.4 sets, so what's stopping people from doubling up on the awesome extra crit chance?
It isn't confirmed that Natalya's set is being touched, but I would be very surprised to see Blizzard not changing Natalya's set, as the weapon is terrible and they seem to be trying to buff as many of those as they can.
If this is true, I might just keep my two Nat pieces and see what's up after the patch.
But what if they move the crit chance to part of the 4 piece on the new set or remove the crit chance all together? No guarantee that there will be a 2pc crit bonus.
Some people don't know how to pay attention to details.... wtf man???
New Set Names - As set bonuses won’t interact between pre-1.0.4 and post-1.0.4 sets, the new Sets will have new names, as well as new individual pieces, to prevent confusion.

this doesn't address op's question/observation. and if he's right, it WILL be nice.

Well for one thing, the 7% crit and 130 dex bonuses barely makes up for the low ilvl on the current set so even if you could double up on it, it would still be slightly gimp. More importantly, they've said months ago that the new sets would have new set bonuses, this new announcement is basically just saying that the old sets won't have their bonuses changed to the new bonuses.

You're right, Sabvre, some people just don't know how to pay attention to the details, and that person is YOU.
I'm glad at least one person saw where I was going with this.
Let me break it down for those who don't get what I'm saying:
I've got Nat boots and chest right now, which allots me +7% crit chance. Let's say I keep them, keeping the +7% crit chance set bonus.
And then the new Natalya's set comes out. If the new set still gives a +7% crit chance with 2 set items, I could pick up the new Nat helm and weapon to get the new set's bonus, too.
That would give me +7% crit chance from having the old Nat set on and +7% crit chance from having the new Nat set on (since the new set items will not interact with the old set items). That gives me +14% crit chance total, which is really great.
Yeah, I could just get 4 pieces of the new Nat set and get whatever bonus it gives (+2 disc/sec if they keep it). It might be a hell of a lot better than trying to secure the +14% crit chance, and this whole idea could be useless.
No, I don't know for sure they they're even going to keep the set bonus for 2 pieces at +7% crit chance.
But getting +14% crit chance on items that would otherwise yield less if using rares is a damn good deal, and it would be exclusive to those lucky enough to get the retro set items (as they will no longer be able to drop after this patch!).
I don't know about you guys, but +% crit chance is damn good to have a lot of, and I want to discuss the possibility of this potentially unintentional bonus combination happening.
If the new set is buffed as much as what we are seeing in the preview then there is no point in wearing old sets because you will gimp yourself in a lot of stats.
I remember that they said they weren't going to nerf Natayla's 4pc "for now."
My best guess will be that it gets nerfed with 1.0.4 so that the new iLevel 63 sets are where it's at. It would fit with why they let it hang around for the time being.
That's a good question, OP. I wonder how they will manage that. Maybe they won't change the 2 set bonus and "merge" the set bonuses together; so if you wear 2 of each set(or 1 and 3 for that matter), you get the 4 set bonus. That seems like it would solve the problem on their end.

Anybody else think otherwise?
