Anyone else bored or have lost interest in the game? I used to play my Demon hunter before the nerfs..The SS nerf I guess was kind of needed, although I personally think they nerfed it a little harsh and a little much, but I was still able to slowly progress through inferno up until act 4. Then once nether tentacles and the IAS nerf came into play I wasn't able to really kill anything anymore .. I also leveled a monk, barb, and witch doctor to 60 in the meantime. I want to play, but can't find what to do in my current situation. I'm no longer wealthy and it seems the gold I do gain quickly disappears if I die a few times. If anyone has suggestions or ideas as to what maybe I can do to try to have some more fun in this game it would be greatly appreciated. I waited a very long time for this game to come out (as we all did) but I'm pretty disappointed I guess I'd have to say..I mean we're only a couple months into the game and so many nerfs have came into play already. What I don't understand is how some of the things people used to cause the nerfs weren't founded by the internal game testers. I like watching videos people make and post on diablofans of some class soloing or farming with less than 1 millions worth of gold in gear and every time I try to do something like that it never works out for me. I just don't understand, or maybe I'm missing something and not doing something right.. I dunno, but anyways, if anyone has some tips or suggestions I'd love to give them a try!
I'd say take a break and relax. Inferno is supposed to be a challenge and if you're having a hard time, it's completely normal. Play something else for a little while. During the Steam sale I picked up The Witcher: Enhanced Edition and I'm also playing Dungeon Siege III occasionally. You can't keep playing the same game for hundreds of hours expecting things to remain exciting. I'm not saying you should stop playing D3, maybe just take a break. Also, if you want to continue playing D3 you could consider playing through with another character, playing hardcore, or farming Act I for upgrades. Don't be afraid to experiment with your DH build either, changing a few skills could end up making a world of difference in terms of progression.
Keep your head up, patch 1.0.4 is coming and will tweak a lot of the underused and less viable skills. I can't wait for it! It's going to be a blast. We should get entirely new builds to play with. How exciting is that?
I've had my bouts of being bored with the game, but mostly because of the constant repetition. Yes, you have different abilities and new classes etc., but the story doesn't actually change. This was also true for D2, but then the "end game" became level to 99 and then do PvP or ladder, but the ladder didn't come until later. At any rate, I'm still enjoying D3, but I do feel that there is just something.....missing? I have put in a lot of hours so I'm not disappointed at all at the game's longevity, as I paid just as much as many other games that I've only played for 10 hours or so.
Thanks!
Sorry if the post is a tad lengthy :/
