Aside from the attackspeed nerf, the Sharpshooter passive might be deceiving sometimes, it leaves you at 100% crit chance and greatly increases the dmg shown on the character sheet (and that instantly drops when you attack). Maybe you swapped that one out?
I have been tampering with skills based on some vid guides I've been watching.. so the theory is, if I set Sharpshooter back, I should regain that 52K?
Sharpshooter increases your critical hit chance by 3% every second you don't attack something, to a max of 100%. And since your base damage displayed uses your crit % as part of its calculation, you're damage is inflated while not attacking. So yes, putting Sharpshooter back on will raise your damage back to 52k while not attacking after it's fully stacked to 100% crit.
This is a very common mistake a lot of people seem to make. Sharpshooter gives you 3% crit every second you don't get a critical hit on a mob. So if you don't crit while fighting, you actually gain 3% crit every second as well, until you do eventually land a crit.
Act 1 Inferno:
Start on Imprisoned Angel quest at The Cursed Hold part.
Go through Cemetery of the Fallen, Fields of Misery, Festering Woods, Southern Highlands, Northern Highlands, Halls of Agony Level 2 through to the Butcher.
Easily 15+ elite/champion packs, 2 bosses, upwards of 7-8 Resplendent Chests, usually well over 250,000 gold, done just over 90 minutes.
Essentially what I do, but it can be modified to be a lot more lucrative.
Fields of Misery - 2 Elite packs, 1-2 caves. 3-5 Elite packs and a Resplendent
Festering Woods - 2 Open Elite packs, 2 Caves. 4-5 Elite packs.
Cemetary of the Forsaken - 3 Crypts. 3-6 Elite Packs, up to 2 events / resplendents.
Leoric's Manor - 1-2 Elite packs.
Halls Lv. 2 through Butcher - 2-4 Elite Packs, and 2 bosses.
Full run through nets me a guaranteed 12 Elite packs and 2 bosses, usually 15-16 packs, and 2 resplendents. Takes 30-40 minutes depending on luck.
I skip the other zones though, they don't have much in the form of guaranteed packs. So while it *may* be lucrative to hit them up sometimes, over the course of weeks and months of farming, you come out way ahead by just hitting the 4 areas where you can pretty much grab an elite pack every 1-2 minutes.
Nets me 30-40 rares, and innumerable blues in roughly half an hour. In 3-4 hours of farming, that's hundreds of rares, and I make 2-3M easy, guaranteed. Obviously much more if I catch a high-dollar item in the mix somewhere.
i farm act 3 on my geared monk. grab 3 glass cannons to come with u and farm spider/azmodan. 35-45 minute runs depending on dps. may not be as accessable for all to do that but for me it beats the hell out of mindless zerging in act 1 and 2. usually net 10mil+ a day. and in between runs i farm the ah like most people do
Wow must be nice. I get about 4-5 rares from that exact same run in the same amount time. Haven't seen a single elite pack drop a rare since Thursday. Only rares I get are from Warden and Butcher.

You might want to kill a few more Champion/Elite packs then. I did a lot of Warden/Butcher runs as well, I cleared until I had 5 NV as well at first. But it's a lot better if you actually kill 10-15 packs before leaving the game. Make sure you have 5 stacks before Warden as well. After you kill butcher, just head into the crypts in the cemetery of the forsaken, a lot of champion packs there which give you at least 1 rare (and on average 2 rares).

99% of the time, the only way you don't get a rare from an elite pack is if you don't have 5 stacks of NV. I often have 5 stacks before I finish the first zone. By the time I make it to Warden, there's 10+ Elite packs behind me. Bosses will drop 1 guaranteed rare @ 4 stacks now, and 2 rares @ 5 stacks.
So yeah, it's all about getting the most elite packs per hour. Bosses are secondary. I was experimenting with skipping bosses altogether, but the latest patch added guaranteeds to bosses, and it doesn't take very long so I've just been finishing the runs out.
There are some tips and tricks though. The Crypts near Cemetary, if you find an elite pack within the first half of the crypt or so (have to estimate), then immediately Town Portal, re-waypoint, and move to the next one. This is way, way quicker than running back the way you came and back outside. If you don't find an elite pack 'til near the end of the crypt, explore the rest of it - you've got an alright chance of finding a 2nd elite pack, or an event. (2 of the 3 possible crypt events drop lots of loot). Similarly, don't backtrack in the caves in Festering Woods, TP and re-waypoint. Know which caves you don't want to go into. Khazra Den, Crypts Lv 2, etc. They're just quest zones, and will be completely empty. Knowing each of these things might only save you 15-20 seconds at a time. But if you save 2 minutes per run, it adds up pretty quickly over a week into another entire bag full of rares.
I craft a lot, If I happen to feel energetic, I might throw in a few quick act 3 runs while stuff sells, but lately I've been losing hope in my drops and just buy everything from AH. Figured I'd get the best gear faster by just playing the AH whole day instead.
This is pretty much it. But then one has to wonder, what do I do with all this gear? I play the AH more than I play the game.
Because this is an AH game with a bit of ARPG minigame, silly!
Of late, I've been buying unid rings/amulets(mostly rings) and identifying them. I've spent around 6-7m on the unid items and turned maybe 35-40m so far.
Sell every sh*t for 5-10k. I didn't belive it's possible to make gold with it, but it is.
I do this as well. Also with putting up items with no buyout and let people do the pricing for me. In 3 days I've made 10m selling items for 5k and doing bid only.
Also I do a ton of crafting with the Grand recipes.
step 2: mindlessly farm Act 1 butcher runs, hope that someday you can get a mediocre item to sell on Ah to upgrade your current mediocre items, to more efficiently farm further mediocre items
A couple days ago a helm dropped with 256 int, 6.5% crit, 69AR, 19% MF and some other random stat. My peepee got super hard and I tossed it up real quick on the RMAH for 40 bucks. It sold and now I am bunching myself in the the balls for what I could of had.
I usually turn about 1-2m gold into 10 dollars. I feel like I could of sold it for a shit ton of gold and retired. Now farming is depressing as fuck!
But, in all seriousness, I have 3mil to my name with two 60's (WD who is barely comfortable in act1, Barb who is somewhat comfy in act2) and my play time is very limited. If I had to speculate as to what holds me back (and therefor suggest the inverse makes you gold) it's my lack of knowledge about off-beat itemization ie. non primary stat + vit + desired secondary stat items and my complete lack of a true farming build or item set on either character.
My hope is that i'll luck out and find a worthy item to keep the barb progressing, but if that doesn't happen within the week I suspect i'll be on to another class to keep things interesting.
