Now I REALLY love this game. I've put in over 60 hours and there is so much more that I want to do. Whimshire, Inferno, use different characters, hardcore, and more.
Before the game came out Diablofans was all about Diablo Fans. Now it is about there was a change to the game and it's worse now.
Here's the future: every patch will include a nerf.
As one blue poster said, it is easier to trim down abilities than to OP other skills to match up, because then things get out of hand.
I play a WD, and can spam powerful zombie bears all day long doing over 1000% weapon damage. It's just a matter of time until that gets nerfed. And that's a good thing, because then I will actually have a choice between different builds, versus going with the OBVIOUS choice.
Point is, keep a look at the big picture. Enjoy the game as a work in progress and be happy that Blizzard is still working on the game. When you see road construction near you, be happy that the government is improving your neighborhood, don't complain, "Pity me, there is more traffic here. Why are they doing this to me? I loved them glorious pot holes."
Diablo 3 is under construction. And for the better.
Good thing that game is what.. 12 years old? If you want to act like a smart ass at least do it right. Don't come up with examples that have zero relevance.
Game shouldn't be WIP. This isn't beta. We were delivered a broken game. Stop being blind as fuck.
Good thing nothing ever needed tuning in D2 and was perfect from day 1, right?

What does time have to do with it when we're talking about the release of the games? Diablo II had a lot of problems at release and even for a long while after. Sure, after 12 years it's better, but shouldn't it be after 12 years? No game ever has been perfect at release. Anyone thinking otherwise needs to take off their rose-tinted glasses.
Diablo III has the luxury of patches; something most console games and older PC games didn't have. We can fix the problems and make this fun game even more fun.

Every single Blizzard game EVER made has had signifigant changes made post release, every single one. (Including their most recent releases, SC2 and Cata)
Its almost like they are known for doing exactly that or something.
I would say that has DIRECT relevance, wouldent you?
It's one thing to release a game and improve it and another thing to release a broken, barely tested game and try to fix it. That's what I meant. If your expectations from a company like Blizzard are that low, then good for you, I guess.
I have several hundred hours logged into D3, and have yet to encounter anything "broken".

That's fine if you don't like the game, or the company, but I just have one question: do you play the game?
Yes, I agree to some extent, but come on; they had a long, looooong time to develop this game. I am still wondering what aspect ofthe game was so difficult to accomplish that required the time frame they needed to get it out. Internal testing was obviously a joke. QA apparently spent most of their time trying to find bugs that had more to do with glitches (i.e., I can walk through this wall, client crashes when I do X) than actual gameplay. Both are important, but one should not be emphasized to the detriment of the other.
Hell, even in recent patches they have done a piss poor job of testing. WD summons get stuck on depth changes. What? Are you seriously telling me this wouldn't be immediately obvious to anyone testing a WD before the patch went out? Bugs will always slip through, but bugs of this magnitude, which are not in any way subtle, never should. There is no excuse (I work in software development and I worked in QA for two years prior. Really, I can't imagine something like this getting through SQA).
Though I believe my comments on testing are true, I have to admit I am biased on the nerf subject. I have absolutely no problem with OP skills/stats/farm spots. I find that kind of "game breaking" gameplay incredibly fun. Also, this is not an MMO, it is an ARPG. We talk about choice in skills, farm spots, etc. Even when OP aspects remain in the game I do have a choice.
Regardless of what others may say, I had a choice in DII as well. This is not an MMO, I do not feel pressured to use/abuse OP aspects of the game to keep up with the herd. I am playing in my own way on my own time, these nerfs/balance changes make the game less fun for me, though I can completely understand if others disagree with me on this. It is of of course subjective.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. He didn't say that he hated Blizz or the game, he simply stated that the testing is sub-par and the game (in terms of stats and farming) was never "broken", which I would be inclined to agree with. Your comment is useless, you simply write of the opinions of others as stupid.

Really?? never found anything broken? Are you sure you have logged hundreds of hours rather than a few? How about Mighty weapons being broken? Being able to dupe gold? That sounds like something that was broken. I'm sure there are a lot more broken things. This is beta basically. Things are changing week to week and this is not a complete game this is a 60 dollar beta that they are making profit off of

I just got the feeling that he wasn't really a big fan of Blizzard or their games, based on the stuff he writes. Sure he never said it outright, but I'd be surprised if he came out saying he was the biggest Blizzard fan in the world right now.
I just asked a question. I want to get a train of thought going here instead of childish bashing.

Game isnt broken. just need balances. IF something is broken is the player behind the computer or someone that expect to get loot every kills ( aka similar to wow, good stuff drops EVERY TIMES even if its not for you... shits drop) but guess what this is D-I-A-B-L-O.
Your not all gaming gods that can overcome every single chalenges with low gears... and gaming gods GOTTA gears too... just saying.
I have yet to see something broken.... Act 3 1 shots you ? Its not broken. Get better gears/builds or improve your own skills. If you play something squishy (WD/DH/Sorc) dont expect to be able and stand still while you do your MAX dps.... again this isnt WoW or any kind of mmorpg. you HAVE to kite/CC mobs if you wanna make it. Thats how the game plays.... not happy with running like headless chicken? theres always barbs and monks for your needs. Not enough dps? well you gotta choose one out of two. you cant be a pure tank AND dps.
Know what i think about people complaining about spells getting nerfed ? its probably thos guys playing console games, finds a bug and exploit it so they can kick the shit out of the game easy and can /flex their epeen. Having one ''broken'' or overpowered spell doesnt make you good just saying... your just using something THATS OBVIOUSLY going to get the nerf bat. Back when iu played wow, in WOTLK, paladins could heal in protection spec being overpowered biatches at a point paladins couldnt die or barely. Someone i knew online kept using this spec getting high rating in arena and i told him "do not use this spec its getting nerfed for sure in the next patches". Patch day, ''omfg, i fucking hate blizz now i cant heal for shit, gotta relearn my paladin all over again''. So this guy went from ''godlike'' in arena to newbie, because the actual holy spec was way more squishier and required faster reaction and was more mana hungry.
If you use a ''broken'' or OPed spell, DEAL with the changes. If your using a spell because you like it and not just because its OP, then you will learn to deal with a balanced spell afterward.
i wouldnt call it a ''nerf'' as its only scaling your spell to normal values.

Fair enough; I think I misinterpreted your "do you play the game?" comment as "you could not possibly disagree with me if you play the game". I think what you really meant is "did you quit playing the game yet also continue to come on the forums and bash it?"

Pretty much that. If he still plays, why is he complaining so much? If he doesn't play, why is he here on a Diablo fansite talking to other players of the game about the game he no longer plays?

That's funny because I actually am a big fan of Blizzard. That's the reason I am so upset when I see them literally butchering every franchise (except SC) that I loved and played for so long.
And yes, I still play the game. I have ~400 hours playtime, however this recent patch made me log on less often.
Good to hear. I hope then that you'll have faith that they'll fix the issues and make this game even better. Honestly the only franchise I see them butchering is Warcraft, and only with WoW. I still play Warcraft III, and it's still a very fun game. I hope and pray that they make a Warcraft IV after WoW is finally buried. I can't speak for Starcraft, since I never played much of I and never played II at all, but I do hear it's popular in Korea. =P
I am a huge blizzard fan. Diablo is by far my favorite series of all their games and i have played every single one of them since warcraft 1: Orcs and Humans. I was extremely satisfied with the game at release and yea im a bit bummed about this new patch and some of the decisions that they have gone forward with, but at the same time this is the company that has produced some of the greatest video games of all time. I have faith that some of these unfavorable changes will be fixed. The developers have to deal with this non stop flood of cry babies and pussies that wont shut the fuck up and bitch about everything. I agree that when the majority of the population dislikes something than there is obviously a problem, but to say the game is broken is bullshit. You cant please everyone and the developers are probably miserable that they have to deal with all of these bitches non stop complaining about everything that they do. Unfortunately we are going ot have to deal with some of these stupid changes for alittle while.
