Is this bugged? I'm getting the extra piece in Act 3 but it's ALWAYS lvl 50-59. I know it's early to complain about that since random is random but it doesn't appear to be the same ilvl as other gear from the act.
I've killed 10 packs at full stacks so far today where only 1 rare dropped and it was a lvl 50-59 item. Is it possibly using Act 1 drop rates or am I just horribly unlucky. It should be amazingly improbable to get that many non-lvl 60 items from 10 kills at the drop rate from act 3-4.
Are you guys getting higher ilvl stuff from the extra drop?
Actually, drop rates seem to be severely nerfed with the patch. Or they messed up magic find in some way.
I did a act 3 run ealier to fill my bank tabs up with unidentified items... And I got one ilvl 63 item. ONE. That's insane. Most of my items were sub 60, and I had very few ilvl 61-62 items. Maybe 4-5 items with actual potential. And nothing I got from the run was AH worthy(worth 30k+).
Pre-patch I use to get 20+ ilvl 63 and plenty of ilvl 61/62. As well, I MF up for all of my kills(320+ with 5stacks)... And the buddy I was running with had the same luck.
I would also like to note that my blue drops were pretty bad too. Just the overall quality of loot I was getting was just miserable.
Was it bad luck? I doubt it. So many kills, so few items with actual potential. I'd just say farming isn't worth it atm. They definitely changed something.
They have definitely dropped levels on some items though, siege breaker run this morning with 3 stacks, 300% MF, dropped one lvl 59 rare, no blues (wtf). Ident it, total POC even for lvl 59. Thought ok I will go farm elites, even with 20k dps drop. Ran into INV pack, was like, so, NO IAS, 20k less damage still has INV minions. This game is retarded. Kite them into wayward area die continue. Next pack shielding guys on stone fort, the ones with the big mace and the elite that won't chase you. Enrage timer in 3 minutes cause he keeps running off and I can't DPS him, die to enrage timer. Go to town, repair, 30k, from 4 deaths. Esc --> quit, not enjoyable game play..

are you saying that "killing mobs over and over again in the attempt to have good rolls on gear" is now useless because in one night you were more "unlucky" than the previous ones ?
They did nerf (and said they'd nerf in the patchnote) the "environmental" loots, removing the ability to drop loots from some destroyable and making mf useless on chests, so that's why you probably had less loots (and so less rolls and so less chance at having "good items")
No, I am saying that farming feels worthless because it is no longer giving anywhere near the quality of loot it was before.
I filled my bank tabs with unidentified items. I could've been insanely lucky all of last week. But getting one ilvl 63 item is insane compared to what I use to get. I am getting the loot faster, but it doesn't mean much when all of it is horrible
As well, I am not talking about "random stat rolls". I am talking about the basic ilvl and level of the items that were dropping. If I had gotten multiple ilvl 63 items like usual, even if they had horrible stat rolls, then I wouldn't be saying what I am.
Something is definitely up. The only thing I can think of is that:
1) Loot tables are messed up in some way. Like the OP said.. act 3 has act 1 tables.
2) Magic find stopped increasing the quality of the items dropped(as in item level.if magic find did this before anyways).
Also, all the rares I got were from packs or bosses.
A grey item can be ilvl 63. MF only improves your chance to get a magic rare or legendary/set, it has nothing to do with ilvl.
The games first decides what kind of item drops, then your mf decides if it is white/magic/rare/legendary.
I see. Regardless, I just simply wasn't getting even remotely decent level drops. Dunno.
I mean, the 8% change could jsut be a huge nerf from what it was before. If so, they should think about changing it up a bit.. as it feels very unfun : (
After playing some more... I still think the drop rate overall for ALL lvl 60 items is lower than before. I got a few good drops throughout the playthrough but I got much much more sub required lvl 60 gear than the past. I was only getting about 30-40% of the items being lvl 60+ items. Prior to the patch I'd notice that I'd often get 60-70% 60+lvl items.
I would be curious if anyone has had the same or different luck. Like I said in my first post, it could just be a really unlucky day (although I did get a few good drops, I'm just talking about overall loot numbers).

Don't know if that would be related to the act though.
i wonder if they have improved the drop rate on tier 13 (58-59) by mistake aswell and the chance on those rares are rolling are going to be higher than the t14-16 - diablo this morning wtih 5 stacks and 312mf dropped 2 rares and both were level 59 peices hahahaha
farmed ~8-10hrs of act2 inferno, ~80-90% of the items are non-60, and not a single drop was worth trying to sell. 112% MF without NV. started from 3rd quest of act2 all the way to killing belial everytime and doing all side dungeons i could find. If all this lv 50-59 stuff could at least be salvaged into inferno mats it would be a bit more tolerable but still bad. This patch was a nerf to overall loot in the game while buffing the fact that you could just get extremely lucky in act1-2 .... MAYBE....
Also been getting more rubberbanding that i used to, mortar getting me while in MELEE range (WTF patch notes?) While i also noticed some mobs kiting me less, some are now kiting me more, some of them will NEVER stop moving until they throw some ranged attack and then back to moving again....

I'm talking about the drop rate of lvl 60+ items in Acts 3 and 4. They seem worse than pre-patch or I just had the worst luck ever in my 8 hours of play yesterday.
I did some nonMF clearing of ACT1 and 2 last night.
I found that with 5 stacks and running small MF still produced some nice results. I was picking up more yellows in Act1 and I am guessing that was just some RNG. But also, I actually found a few 63 weapons last night. They are the first high lvl items(weapons) I have found with about 250 hours of playtime so I am slightly encouraged.

iLvl 61: 18.6%
iLvl 62: 12.4%
iLvl 63: 4.1%
which would mean a total of 35.1% of items being ilv 61+, i can say that is clearly not the case....
