This is to commemorate the time when we, diablo players, were able to enjoy FAST attack speeds.
Post your highest attack speed that you have obtained before.
If you have not done so, you may want to try to do it before Patch 1.03 kicks in.
Yes...we have heard 1.00, 2.00 and 3.00. Perhaps even 4.00...
BUT who will claim the Throne of "The Fastest Character"?
Does anyone have any higher to share?
It would be good if someone could do some video recording before this becomes long lost...forever!
This nerf is going to directly damage my character's main source of both survivability and damage. I have no idea what the fuck they are thinking. They want a non-mandatory stat, well gee fucking whiz retards, now I have to have it on literally every fucking item, because without a high IAS I can't stutter-step and kite-cast to stay alive. Basically, this patch says "caster classes are faggots, suck a dick". Less time casting and more time running meant less time dead, and now I have no idea what the hell we're supposed to do if it takes ~1s instead of ~.5s to turn and drop a Blizzard or Grasp of the Dead.
Yes, he mad. They literally just reached in my pocket and pulled out 15,000 DPS. Whose fucking idea was this?
was experementing with High attackspeeds and was able to reach 3.5 APS with around 35-40k dps on my Witch Doctor. dident like the feel of being a glasscannon so i switched it up for more resistances armor and im now playing the pet build CC.

Ahhh. maybe you should gear out of that 12K for Inferno then, eh? You realize they are also adjusting the damage output in Inferno past Act1 right? You can still manage if you don't suck to bad, but otherwise, welcome to having to get some resists/health/armor like us melee.

Blah blah blah. I play a wizard and I find it ultra boring that attack speed is so damn good. I've cleared Inferno including almost every pack and Diablo with 1.2 speed, I think you'll do fine after the patch when they nerf act 2-4 at the same time.

I love how you people just make yourselves a fool with dumb assumptions. I have 3K armor, all resists over 400, 29,000 health and my Witch Doctor is still a broken character. I don't care that the patch will probably help me more than hinder me, I would have rather had diminishing returns than a direct shit taken on items I paid over a million gold for, items whose main focus was perfect IAS.
I happen to have beat the entire game as well. I just think it's bullshit that they would nerf something just because it's an effective strategy. If they wanted people to stack IAS less, they should have implemented a diminishing return. This acts in the opposite way by making any IAS based build need IAS on every single goddam item to achieve something like the same result. This is going to make IAS items more valuable, not less, because you'll want every single slot contributing, as to where previously I was comfortable as 1.9 AS and only 2 items supplying it.

Never liked Attack Speed. For a few classes the design of the energy resources goes against it.
But I'd like to see how having so much attack speed on a barbarian looks like with Frenzy.
