Please don't take offense, InfidelMan, but I hope this means you'll stop posting telling us how bad the game is?
Well said. This dude likes to hear himself talk. I remember seeing him spam the forum during the beta. Please , if you have a shred of decency in you, please stop posting here immediately. You,re a sniveling whiner a your griping is getting old fast. I have to say what most others have been saying here. You have a lot of nerve asking for a refund after sinking 65 hour into a game. I loved D1 and D2 and I also love Diablo 3. Now please go piss up a rope and go dump your crap on another game forum.

I wasn't even active on here during the beta and how would you know being registered today? Nerve? Blizzard is the one that had the nerve to release a beta game, you prick. What nerve?

Because people can't lurk for a while before they make an account.
I wouldn't take it personally anyways, people hate complainers as much as you (apparently) hated D3.
You can even look at my history. I maybe made like one post at best somewhere and it wasn't even about 'hating'.
Well actually, yes we can look at your history :>
EDIT: I'm such a silly person, didn't read that right I did! carry on fellow diablofans!

A bit more on topic again, I personally enjoy the game, but maybe some people expected something different. So it's cool that blizzard is actually allowing refunds.

Like other posters on here stated, Diablo is a franchise that is meant to be replayed. What is the point of AH and RMAH then and the different builds and randomized events? Why would someone be expected to spend real life money for a one-time run through game? Seriously, do you think the whole content is worth the $60? Let's be reasonable here. The game does not have the replay value like it's predecessor, imo, no scratch that, it's a fact.
Do I think 65 hours of game play is worth $60? Yes. Let's be reasonable here. That's less than a dollar per hour. Tell me what other form of entertainment can claim that? Especially since the game is capable of delivering many more hours of fun beyond that without a monthly subscription fee.
Maybe I just grew up, who knows. But it just doesn't feel right, nothing about it does.
More interested in FPS games now and no, not COD.
Yes, because FPS's are "grown up".
I'm a milsim freak. I don't think a COD kiddie would last long in Arma 2 or Project Reality.
Btw, to the people that are bored with D3 and want to try something new for less try the ultimate Zombie Survival mod with an open persistent world, 'DayZ'. That thing is addictive as hell.
Ive played a quite a few hours of DayZ, and I gotta say if that's what you're leaving D3 for, it's kind of ironic. DayZ is in Alpha, and is unstable as all hell, i've lost entire 4 hour play sessions to server issues.
Grats on your refund though, enjoy another carbon copy Military Shooter with that $60. Go to say though, your audacity puzzles me.

Even at alpha the mod owns and it's created by one man. An Alpha is to be expected to have bugs. A 'finished' product like Diablo 3 that took 6-7 years to develop by a gaming industry titan must not have this much fail. If you, as a long time Diablo fan, are not insulted by this then you're just blind to the obvious. Arma 2 CO cost $25 for a BUTTLOAD of content that enables you to create any scenario imaginable. And Blizzard releases a beta-stage game as a 'finished' product and I have the audacity? You've got to be kidding me, seriously.

If D3 is a "finished product"....explain to us why they are openly communicating with players, fixing issues daily and showing their unmitigated intent to continue not only fixing bugs/imbalances, but to provide us with enhanced content, expansions etc? D2 certainly as shit wasn't a finished product when it was released, and it went on to be considered one of the greatest RPG's in history.
D3 isn't "finished"...it won't be "finished" for years to come. You got froggy and jumped ship like an Italian boat captain...all too soon. As I predicted a week ago, impatient and boisterous players like you will come running back only to find everyone so far ahead of you.

Oh gee, they took 1 second off of smoke screen, they sure are working their butts off, add a second here, .5 seconds there.... All they do to 'balance' the classes is nerf them, that's all I've seen them do so far. D2 wasn't getting players bored on the 2nd or 3rd day of playing, that's the problem. The system is fundamentally messed up. To fix it, they have to rework the whole skill and stat system to even bring it close to Diablo 2's level, which let you choose a shitton of builds for the end game that took effort and strategy to realize, which was actually fun. And they won't do that, it's impractical.

So why did they release it so unfinished, why was it necessary? You're pretty much justifying my refund request. 65 hours isn't that soon. This was the only game that I actually was excited for for a long time, since 06. I followed it's development for even before it got announced when this site was called Diablo3.com. I played D1 as a kid, 2 in my teenage years, it's a game that I and my brother and close friends grew up with and now it's just a huge disappointment, the new team just mutilated the franchise pretty much. So I'm quite positive I won't be trying it out again, even when expansions come out, I don't trust blizzard on the Diablo series anymore after this flop, no matter what they promise.
Anyway, if you genuinely enjoy playing this game then I'm happy for you. I personally don't get it, but have fun.
Nice reference to costa concordia there. Alright, that's the last post, this went on long enough lol. Cya

I still don't get the 'beta stage' idea you are throwing around. The game is finished, all games have bugs, I really wonder if you played Diablo 2 when it was released. It was horribly unbalanced, bloated, and glitchy. Sure a few patches later that was remedied, but that was quite a few months in.
The reason I questioned your audacity is that because despite the majority of the gaming press, along with the majority of the buying public disagreeing with your opinions, you are constantly touting them as facts. Hey you didn't like that the game had a few bugs, that's cool, but it doesn't mean the game wasn't finished. If you didn't enjoy the game, that's another issue, one which probably shouldn't have entitled you to a refund. I guess my biggest issue is the sense of entitlement I'm constantly seeing. You payed for a product based on your experience, research, and/or plain excitement for said product. it didn't live up to YOUR expectations, and it seems like you hid that disappointment behind your 'beta stage' claim to justify your refund with Blizzard. I just don't see how you can continue to bash this game, when the company that made it were gracious enough to refund you every dime you payed for it.
Yep. I can dig how some folks may not like it, but please stop trying to harsh our buzz.
Great, you got a refund. Isn't there some other fan forum you should be frequenting, Infidelman?

I get that you were disappointed and that's your right. I think it sucks that after all the years of anticipation, you were left unfulfilled.
Maybe you'll give it another try after some patches, expansion etc?
