Unfortunately it just lacks something. I have a hard time figuring out what it is exactly, it's just not that entertaining for me sorry.
Well, not everyone's gonna like it I suppose. I had my reservations going in as well. The idea of no runewords bothered me at first....not so much now. I think the ensuing patches/expansions will fill the void of what many feel is lacking. I feel it's lacking in some areas as well, however, I trust that Blizzard wants the true fans of the franchise to be satisfied and they will address these shortcomings.
I hate that so many true Diablo fans were dissatisfied.
Keep in mind, for all of you who are whining about inferno difficulty, that Bashiok posted that much much less than 1% had even made it there.
So, stop posting your opinions as *fact*, because, they're just the opinions of the less than 1%.
He retracted this statement, saying he thought of another statistic. Which I assume was hardcore, not inferno. I'm sure a lot more than 1% has made it into infeno. A lot more.

I don't know about that. 1% of some 6 million+ people is an awful lot.
Lol @ Blizzard using small numbers to try and make a point hoping stupid people will bite on it. And they did. The % means absolutely nothing, nothing, nothing, without real numbers.
1.9% of 7 Million is 133,000 people. So there's more than 133,000 people who've reached inferno in Diablo which has been out for 2 weeks. Looks like a lot to me.

1.9 of characters, meaning accounts with two characters in inferno also counts, so even less than 1.9 actually.
I wonder how many people actually bothered to play past normal. The story is so pathetic i imagine most people would not want to experience it 4 times over

1.9% have unlocked inferno. I expected it to be closer to 6%. Good read.
