* I and many others love the change in skill design. And the sheer wealth of skills D3 offers. If you can't get over the old Skill tree design, that's going to be a huge issue for you.
Yeah I love how you guys droned from january to release about how the new skill system was distilled to perfection, and wasnt just the garbage that they settled for to push out this game.
I love being pigeon holed into the same skills as everyone else, I love not being able to survive in act 1 inferno with act 3 inferno gear without my defensive cooldowns.
I love how my defensive cooldowns get nerfed, creating more artificial barriers to make the game seem like its longer than it is.
I love how for months the devs made claims that were all complete bs and were and still are defended. I love how in their hotfix notes they casual mention that they will be reworking a monk skill to forever open the door for fanboys to further defend every decision they make.
I'm still lvl 24 and i have so many things to do, oh god I will take months, maybe years to complete everything on this game, it is so awesome.
Thank you blizzard!
You no-life boys, go play round based games like dota or battlefield 3, you will never finish the content!!! THERE ISN'T ANY!!! HAHAH AHR HRHA OOHHH AVBBABABAH AHAH HAHA YAYAHAHB ABBAAA

That's funny, some one was complaining about this on the official forums only to find he used totaly different abilities than me.
It's fine that you like cookie cutters, and more than likely can't play your class properly. I can go through Act 1 Inferno with an offensive build with Act 1 Inferno items, I only just recently bought an Act 2 weapon this morning.
Yesterday I realized that I never really played a zon in D2
Going to level her until Blizzard comes out with a huge fix for all of this mess. Too much to list.

I come back 2 days later and he is still complaining about the game and saying hes going to play D2. I bet you are on D3 right now still trying to beat content without the right gear.

I was doing some baal runs on my 89 barb that day, then I realized I never played Amazon. And I swear I haven't even played D3 since yesterday morning and that was for like 15 minutes. I really want to like D3 now, but it's just tedious and boring, sorry.
I played Diablo 1 & 2, though I never played Diablo 2 near as long as many.
I guess I'm responding the general value complaints I am seeing here. People who have probably logged 50+ hours in the game complaining that they've been ripped off with the $60 price tag.
The idea that somehow, now that you've gotten into the $1 per hour of play range and have become frustrated with certain gameplay elements, you've been "ripped off" or sold an inferior product is just silly.
I've logged about 12 hours, and am just now getting to the end of Act IV in normal: YES, I am a ways away from the point which many people seem to complain about.
The thing is, people need to chill out on the bashing. Blizzard is in this for the long run. I'm sure they are hoping that D3 has a long healthy life and that they can open a big revenue stream with the RMAH. Hell, they supported & tweaked Diablo 2 for 8 years and it likely was only costing them money after 3 years past launch.
Not happy about something? Fine, make a post and explain what it is you don't like. Be constructive & offer suggestions for improvement and understand that it's going to take some time.
Spare us all the whining & bashing, though. No one wants to hear it.
(well, maybe I shouldn't speak for everyone. I'm sure there are people out there who LIKE to listen to whining & bashing. These people can contact me privately where we can arrange for them to babysit my 6 & 4 yr olds).
I really don't understand why people buy a product like this in its first few months. I wouldn't consider looking at it until PVP is in AND has had a couple of patches.
People buy it because it's a great game. It's not a hard thing to understand.
I've logged about 12 hours, and am just now getting to the end of Act IV in normal: YES, I am a ways away from the point which many people seem to complain about.
Exactly. When I was in Normal/Nightmare, it was fun. It's always fun the first time. But the Diablo series has always been about longevity and replayability within the game, something that keeps us going and trading and socializing within the game. That was the magic of the previous titles. however there are so many wrong things with this title that's it'll take me some time to list all of the issues. Just go on Diablo 3 forums and see for yourself. There are plenty of threads there with good and detailed reasons on why Diablo 3(in its current state) won't have a long life. So, once you get to act 4 hell and or level 60 then say, 'I will play this game for ages', I would like to hear that, just honestly.

There are no threads on the D3 forums with good and detailed reasons on why D3 won't have a long life, nor are there any here. It all comes back to the game being too hard. People just expect to walk through the entire game because Method and others did it so quickly.
I'm working through Act 2 Inferno on my WD and it is DAMN hard. Act 4 Hell is nothing compared to this. But I've got a few better item drops by farming Act 1 and the AH, which has helped considerably.
D3 is far from a perfect game. Every app/os/game has their bugs/niggles/annoyances. There are certainly some legitimate reasons why some may not enjoy the game. The lack of PVP is the first thing that comes to mind. As we've seen by this thread and many others, the game is too hard for some, which I can see not being fun. It may end up being too hard for me for quite some time while I continue gathering gear, and I'm perfectly fine with that. I expected it to be difficult as Blizzard has been touting that for months now.
It's funny...people were hoping Blizzard wouldn't nerf the Inferno difficulty prior to release. They wanted a hard game. Now we see people (some are the same, some aren't) using the excuse that the game is 'broken', when in all actuality it's simply too difficult for their skill level or the gear they have.
How long has the game been out? Not even 2 weeks and people who have already logged more than 50 hours are declaring it dead. Maybe it's me but I think these proclamations lack perspective.
I really can't remember how Diablo 2 played out, but I am pretty sure I remember people complaining about how much it sucked until (forgive me if my memory fails) patch 1.10 came out. Then a bunch of people shut up and didn't start complaining again until patch 1.13 came out. Now, 8 damn years later it would appear (if you believe all the comparative forum posts) that Diablo 2 shit roses, belched gold, and made people's lives complete.
If you really think D3 is so bad as to be beyond redemption: quit.
If you think it's worth saving, realize that maybe 25hrs per week is a bit aggressive in-terms of playtime and relax a bit.

I saw so many great threads with real constructive criticism yesterday with like 23 pages, all deleted. Here some new ones, but not as great. But good points.
You're missing the point of fun hard/challenging and just plain boring/tedious hard. At least in Diablo 2 when you kill an elite or boss, you actually have a decent chance of getting good drops, you're rewarded for the effort. In Diablo 3, elites and bosses, but mostly elites are just an annoyance throughout the game. Because even if they drop a rare, it's going to suck 95% of the time and you also have to take into account the drop percentage for a rare to actually drop from an elite or even a boss. And also think of how much time it takes to kill an elite group on inferno, all that kiting and crap for minutes just to get blues and a health globe. There needs to be a balance between hard and fun, not just annoying.
You character, by the time you reach hell/inferno, is forced into one role. It's like WoW all over again. I know it sounds cliche by now, but it still rings true.
I mean where is the chat lobby? Why can't we create games that people can actually see and join. This whole thing just brings me back to RMAH. These stupid decisions of taking out the social/trading aspect out of the game is centered around RMAH/AH. It is trully disgusting the way the game took course. And I can't believe it took them 6-7 years to actually develop it to it's current state. To me, right now, Diablo 3 is just a super simplified version of Diablo 2, dunked in a WoW sauce. I spent 60 bucks on this game and have I the right to complain about it. And taking into consideration of how many people are actually criticising the game, I think it's a pretty legitimate QQ-ing and blizzard needs to take notes.

You have the right to complain about anything you like. Just like anybody has the right to tell you how they feel about your complaining.

I grew up gaming without internet forums. The entire phenomenon of being upset with a game developer makes no sense to me. No sense. I cannot imagine spending my time and energy being upset about something I choose to do for recreation.

Yeah, but how is that productive? All you're doing is acting like a dick and a fanboy. I'm part of the camp that is trying to make blizzard open their eyes for the first time since they prostituted themselves to a huge French conglomerate.

I've posted on Diablo 3 forums as well. Here i'm just trying to save the fanboys with the stockholm syndrome
You've decided I'm not having fun playing Diablo 3? Please, tell me more. I'm apparently confusing being kidnapped with enjoying a hobby. I must have been brainwashed.

Sure, but it was a mess with a fully functional single player game. You do know what that is, right?

Funny. I have yet to group with anyone in D3.
That better gear is required to get past the harder difficulties?
