As you reach 60 your obviously behind in gear, and will struggle hard in inferno unless you buy some from Ah/get real lucky.
I for one need to farm up some cash, I guess most others does aswell.
From what Ive seen here and on other forums there are some strats, but I would like you input.
People run the blacksmiths wife over and over in act 1 inferno.
People run act 3 hell, the basement levels of the castle.
People run act 4 of hell killing everything.
What are your experiences, what did/do you do?
What did you find the most efficiant?
Do you sell white items on such farm runs?
Do you go full gold and magic find gear?
How much did you invest in your gear?
Is Magic and Gold find gear necessary, and how much of an improvement do they really offer?
I curious too see if anyone is willing to share their hard earned experience to thoose who are a little behind.
Seriously would appreciate some tips. Getting raped in Inferno and have no idea how people got geared so quickly. The gear I need on the AH costs millions and I only have 200k. Help!
My advice without much knowledge would be to buy the cheapest possible decent magic and gold find gear on ah, and farm act 3 in the basement of the castle or the entire act 4 of hell and slowly build of tons of gold and items. And hope for some decent items that can sell well on AH
Thou the reason I made this post is to find out if there is something that is more efficiant.
I am sure most with good gear who have progressed through inferno has been through this and have a few tricks on how to achive better gear.
This is on hell.. But I gather up packs in the area after the Cemetary, drag them back to the bridge (If they are bulls, they set stuck on the bridge lul) and then to a very special spot, tp home, run somewhere else and drop a venom hydra on them. Then I collect loot.
I just run the beginning of Act 3 over and over again. The signal fires/catapults part gets me Nephalem x5 and then clear the Keeps -> Ghom. Usually get a bunch of rares and a lot of blues.
As a Monk, the Stonefort area is awesome to deal with the Champions. There are tons of stairways to bottleneck them and deal with them one at a time. If you get wallers, it's even better because they tend to block themselves from you and I just keep punching them.
I have around 75 MF without the buff and a bunch of Lightning resist gear which then allows me to use the OP resist aura for every other resist. Helps a lot.
Actually act1 inferno isnt all that bad , I struggled at first died alot but managed to get trough act1 as i found upgrade it became easier and easier now i can farm act1 inferno pretty easy .
Btw im a 60 WD and i either solo or run with my friend monk .
Two of my farming techniques are iskatu runs and last stand of the ancients
In 8 runs of Iskatu (night mare mode) I got an average of 1581.75 gold per run. the runs themselves being
first: 1275
second: 2223
third: 1439
fourth: 1389
However items drops are very, very limited.
the last stand of the anicnets in the festering fields of act 1 however yields better item drops at the cost of 500 gold per average run
the runs themselves being
first: 868
second: 1342
third: 702
fourth: 1163
I got more yellows and a legendary (Denial shield) from last stand of the ancients due to boss runs being worth.. crap really.
I'll be testing out different farming methods as well and will post about them.
Azmodan run (I think) is starting on the last quest in Act III, taking the WP to Core of Arreat and either ignoring completely every group up to Azmodan and then killing him, or fighting your way through them along the way. After you beat Az, you get the quest complete with a bunch of gold, head back to Bastion's Keep and finish the act with another quest completely for additional gold for free. Personally, I've been doing this for a few days, and it's not a bad way to bring in money and loot at the same time.
