I just finished Belial on normal difficulty and I died like 5 times in a row, until I found the right build to annihilate him.
I've died before that with the WD... my main. The game is captivating on a number of points. Such as the environment, the story is interesting, and the magic items are a plenty.
The only MAJOR problem I have is with the legendary items... they aren't LEGENDARY. They should be hard as hell(inferno) to get, but they should be godly.
Besides that the game is stellar in my opinion. It just came out, so it's going to go through growing pains... but people still complain it's too easy, because I can just use the Ah... well don't then idiot.
So many complaints and it just came out, let them sort it out. Atleast we finally got the damn thing. I understand people are people and they like to complain, but Blizzard always said we'll never meet your expectations... why? Because people are messed up and expect the unattainable. Be thankful the game is as good as it is.
I love this game. I am really not sure what they are complaining about. I understand people want to hack it and want it offline. Better with it online in the long run. But the game over all was very impress with the features and the artistic style they took. There are some really nice shots in the background and some of the dungeons are really cool.
I have come to notice that most of the people complaining never played either of the Diablo games before this. It seems they were waiting for another World of Warcraft or something. The mechanics of the game haven't changed one bit and the others were nothing more than a grind fest with quite an epic story. I have to give Blizzard props for not messing this up. I haven't found anything I do not like about this game. The story follows the second and some of these mobs are hard. I think it's a great third piece to the trilogy. If anyone remembers most of us beat the second one so long ago and did nothing but get rushed just to go pvp or magic find. Yet, we have years upon years invested in the game. All I can say is, if you don't like it.. don't play it.
I'm sick of it too. Yes, the game has flaws. Possibly the legendaries should be better (I haven't found any. Or any set piecs for that matter), they botched the launch, and I would prefer to not have to be always online (although, as I believe it will reduce botting/hacking/duping, I'm okay with it).
That said, some people just...won't...stop. Like EVERY article about D3 on Rock Paper Shotgun. All they do is whine about the always online bit, and find new ways to show how it's bad. Look, we get it, you don't like it. But state you don't like it, and MOVE THE F ON, we all know why you don't like it.
That, and dopes keep repeating problems with the games that are WRONG. Like people who don't know about Elective Mode, or people who don't realize that pressing alt brings up the item labels, or that you can adjust have fast it disappears.
Thank you for posting that C.K. Louise video... never heard of him and he's quite funny... and such a true vantage point he was making about his current generation lol.
I haven't complained much but cause ur giving me such an excelent excuse I will. And don't get me wrong I like the game but there are some things that just feel deeply flawed and other games that needs tweaking which I think they will do down the line but that doesn't mean it's good as it is now (think wow if an expansion comes out thats terrible just because they will patch it down the line doesn't mean the initial product doesn't have flaws they need to fix. And they will never know about them or spend time on it unleas enough people complain or the problem is big enough they know this is bullshit).
So I will start first off spells need tweaking damage whise. wizard for instance since thats the only class I'm playing needs their signature spells balanced and power spells increased in damage so a blizzard isn't dealing the same amount of damage as arcane orb over 6 seconds instead of 1 second. This is the case for several things for instance kiting is fun and all but ranged are squishy as fuck without any real damage advantage over the melee classes (I know they can kite and I aprove of them being easier to kill but not this much difference). The fact that act 1 is stupidly hard in hell/nm compared to last acts cause u gear up (I know this is a gear issue and mostly about luck) but the content should get harder as u progress through the acts not easier (bosses get harder by abit but not much). These are things that need slight tweaks so I wouldn't complain on a forum usualy and it wouldn't really be moaning it would be constructive critisim (if posted on bnet).
A thing that isn't a tweak fix though is that unqiues are kinda bad (high level ones are ok and I know not the best of the best but still it's decent) and the low level ones needs to be buffed or the point of them being there is moot. I like the unique that drop at lower levels and how it feels but if you can't use it for 5-10 levels or heck even use it when it drops becuase it's just a blue item with more but not better bonuses. And another thing is that the set feel from d2 got lost when they became uniques and the drop rate is so low you wouldn't really get any while leveling (sigon etc from d2 u could actually get a few items if not a full set if u were lucky).
So why can't people complain if they are unhappy with the game? I played d2 and I have problems with the game and I hope they get solved but if people went with the mac mentallity (sry this is not meant as a insult to you guys in any way but more to the majority of apple consumers) that you don't complain and buy the newest/best things because it's new and cool looking past any flaws becasue it's "the best" the problems would never be fixed cause blizzard would think they had a perfectly working game.
TL;DR
Its a fun game, gonna go have fun playing a game instead of complaining how they should of made it better.
Oh and Blizzard, on behalf of everyone who is hating, thanks for an awesome game, ignore us, we arent getting any at home.
The first rule of ANY Blizzard game is to never, ever visit the forums. Blizzard makes amazing games but their community is one of the worst. It's been that way since the beginning of time and it probably won't ever change. Avoiding the forums removes about 95% of the whining.
Also, don't let others tell you what class to play. Try them all. When you find one you like, play it and enjoy it. The game is barely a week old and yet everyone pretends they work for Blizzard and coded the game.
One more thing: If leveling feels too "grindy" for you, try to mute to music/sound and play something in the background. I have found that when I do this, I'll zone out and end up blasting through quests. MST3K works well.
Game isn't bad, it just wasn't ready for release, as Blizzard admitted, although that won't make reviews less forgiving, because they won't wait until game + servers work in harmony and a couple of patches fix most of the bugs
The game isn't perfect, and theres some stuff I'm not crazy about; but I just ignore the complaining. I've been having a very good time with it so far. The complainers are a vocal minority. Theres a lot of them hanging around Blizzard's games sadly. The official forums are a tough place to see any worthwhile discussion.

I completely disagree. There are always going to be bugs, just because any QA is going to have way less people then on release. The servers...well that has nothing to do with the game.
People just don't know this game yet, but for whatever reason, they assume they do after only four days. I'm hearing talk that melee is impossible in Inferno. Some perspective; I remember many years ago taking my Zealot to hell, solo, and getting to the arcane sanctuary.
Well....at first, when I was ignorant of the game I didn't know how to mitigate mobs of physical-immunes set on a narrow, impassable pathway. It was "impossible". After time, I learned how to deal with it solo (adding elemental dmg to attacks etc). Such will occur over time with D3. People think its impossible...they learn it's not....
why do you even give a f*** what other people think or say or expect from the game? just play with your friends, have fun and stop caring about the opinions of people you don't even know.

People come here to learn about the game, discuss the game and enjoy the excitement of a release many of us waited for over a half-decade to play. Yet we have to wade through the garbage of thread after thread of people that;
1) Aren't fans of the franchise/Aren't familiar with the Diablo template
2) Are immature
3) Are impatient
4) Are trolls
I don't like Call Of Duty. I thought it sucked. Did I join a CoD fan forum and troll it to death with complaints? No. I wouldn't frequent a website with the word (GAME I HATE) combined with the word "fan". If they don't like it, go away, please. Criticism is one thing, we all have that and it can be constructive. But the immature ranting about Blizzard being a scrupulous greedy corporation and this game sucking.......go away.
Forums are full of complainers because the people that enjoy the game are busy playing.
Many complainers are WoW/other mmo players who are used to having everything handed to them on a silver platter, and have no idea what Diablo is really about.
The game is just fine. If you don't like it, go play something else.
I agree with a lot that is being said. Does the game have some genuine problems? Yes. Am I a little disappointed taht Inferno has been beaten after only four days when Blizzard said it would take a couple of months? Yes. I knew it wouldn't be that long before someone beat Inferno, but 4 days? That just sucks. Is there an issue with difficulty? Maybe, I'm only in Act 3 Normal right now. Should Legendaries be more powerful? Probably. Should they end the teleporting to a boss fight and Ressurecting even when taking damage with no consequences? Yes. Despite all of these things, is the game still fucking aswome? YES! I have put in 17 hours with one character and I'm only on Act 3 Normal because I am taking my time and snooping around EVERY corner. So much for the assholes who say the game is too short. And as a result I have learned that this has a very deep story and is done in a form of storytelling I wish more developers woudl adopt.
It basically boils down to this, are this generation of gamers a bunch of spoiled little shits how don't know what a good game is? ABSOLUTELY!
All of these fucks that are complaining about the game's graphics, difficulty, not getting "level appropiate loot", Gems sucking, ect. don't know what the hell they are talking about. For those idiots that don't know about elective mode, READ THE DAMN OPTIONS MENU! One guy complained to Blizzard that he couldn't pk. Blizzard's response, "Try Harder." Despite the fact that's hillarious, it's true. Blizzard has done everything they can to inform the public on how the game is going to be. But does the public ever actually do research into a product BEFORE they buy it? NO! Why Becuase they are fucking morons whom I wish wouldn't bread anymore. Those that are complaining are the same noobs who think Modern Warfare series and WoW are good games. They can't wrap their atrophied minds around any thought more complex than, "ooh shiny," let alone a game that actually requires some thought and strategy.
I am sick and tired of the complaints. The development team worked their asses off for six and a half years to bring us this game, and you know what? It is a HUGE improvement over Diablo 2. Despite launch hiccups, they did a damn good job. I LOVE the fact that the skill trees are gone. It makes experimentation a lot more fun. Does it kill replayability? Yes. But so what? Level all five classes to 60, keep spare sets of gear in your stash for mulitple builds and have fun at any difficulty level you want. If you get bored with the Wizard, move to the Barb and smash shit. Bored with the Barb? Move to the Monk.
The combat system is very deep. I am playing a Wizard, and I haven't seen ANYONE come close to my build despite the millions of people playing. You know what? That is just phenomenal!
So, just shut the fuck up, enjoy the game for what it is and have fun.
Playing devil's advocate here, but...what if you were a huge fan of all past CoD releases, and then along comes a new CoD that changes most of the things you liked about the previous games, almost to the point of it not quite feeling CoD to you? Would you be happy?
No, I would not be happy. But I cannot see myself putting any effort into complaining about it to strangers via a fan forum.
What bugs me about much of the complaining is the rhetoric like "fanboy" and other insults being fired at people that love the game, as if these dissatisfied players wish to convince people that they really shouldn't like the game.
If you like it, you like it. If you don't like it, you don't like it. If I didn't like the game, I wouldn't be here right now. Maybe it's just me, but I got better things to do than to frequent a fansite of a game I am displeased with.
