Damn he's hard! Took me like 45 minutes to kill him until I decided to swap skills and try another tactic, and boom! it worked like a clock, killed him on my second try.
I was a lvl 27-28 or so Wizard. My dps was also really crappy for that level, had around 145 dps. Lvl 31 now and above 400, got a +45% crit damage weapon bonus and dps went up like that!
I'm not really having a hard time anymore. I used to get killed by mobs until I got that weapon upgrade. Now I just disintegrate everything before it even gets close. I heard Archon is op, but I'm not even bothering with it. Everything dies in a couple of seconds.
That Siegebreaker boss in Act 3 was a piece of cake.
mm..i didnt have a problem with belial.. i was about lvl 27 and i basically ran around dodging his attacks and the ones i knew i couldnt dodge, i used diamond skin. I then summoned arcane hydras and constantly casted blizzard at him. When i was diamond skinned, i just stood there and tried to do as much damage possible.. after it wore off, i went running again..
Archon is good but the 120 sec cool down is a hefty chunk of time you're missing. Im running 1crystal armor 2frost nova 3hydra 4magic weapon primary: electrocute and secondary: disintegrate
i haven't had any problems with this build and I'm middle ish act 2 of NM
bosses are easy just drop your hydra and run around to avoid stuff, on bosses that don't move like belial and azmodan replace hydra with meteor and do the same tactic. works like a charm
edit: i think i died 3 times to belial on normal, i went straight int gear and only have 700 hp when i was fighting him so the bombs one shot me if i made a wrong move or if crystal armor was on cd.
I have not died to any of the Act bosses. And I usually tear through them with Call of the Ancients. Wanna talk about an OP skill? That is on Normal Difficulty. It can even knock Diablo's health to half just by itself. But I never had a hard time with Belial. But I finally am moving onto Nightmare so I guess I'll see how I fare when I reach him then.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I don't always burn. But when I do, I use hellfire.
Had no problem on normal , but nightmare it was bit harder , the green shit just 1 one you if you stand in it . Even azmodan and diablo in nightmare were easier than belial .

yeah my hp was about the same as yours when i fought belial but i guess i was lucky and didnt die.. my first death was act 3 when i ran into champions with mortar and they killed me so fast since my hp was so low. Second death was the fire that shot from the ground. didnt know they took 350 hp per sec, and i stood there for 2 secs chasing down a stupid treasure goblin. After that i stacked vit and got to liek 3300hp lol..
I just beat Belial on normal with my barbarian. I kinda wasn't expecting it to be a multiple phase fight the first time, so I blew Earthquake after the initial wave of snake-things, and I was too shocked and awestruck to pay attention after that. Then it took me three attempts, and some skill switching to finish the fight.
That was the first moment in the game that I said "holy hell, that was unexpectedly awesome." I hope there is plenty more of that yet
Downed Belial on 1st try in normal with a lvl 25 wiz, no problem at all
I had terrible skills for this event, only electrocute and desintegrate for damage, but diamond skin sure saved my butt several times
Can't wait to face him again in NM with the right set of skills
From monk PoV normal Belial was tank and spank seriously. I didn't even realised the fight mechanic, just stood there taking it like a man, healing on cd. Personally Azmodan was harder for me, had to actually run around and even used pot.
I'm finding the bosses to be somewhat easy- it's the rare and champion packs that are completely destroying me in Nightmare on my barb. I'm literally kiting more than I'm fighting because I'm dead in 2 seconds if I leap back into the pack.
Died only 2 times in normal: Azmodan (fuck you defile-whatever that is) and the terror demon Diablo sends at the start of Act IV. I was overrun by those fuckers in a matter of seconds. However, nightmare is probably gonna give me some nightmares. I died twice in Act I. Champions/elites with shield and molten are quite possibly my hardest counter. Level 35 DH.

I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do at Belial the first time and died. Second try it was cake.
Food for thought.
