I wasn´t refering to you when I wrote that...
I´m a nearly graduated business economist, I know a little bit about economy
And yes, even if english is not my first language, I got your post
Why isn't that a great attitude, I suppose we could be friends. I was in an Econ class once and the prof railed us for doing so poorly on our exams, he compared us to German Econ students and how you guys could roll us all any day. Whoa, did I just deal a HOT? Anyways, what are we all talkin' about now?

i guess i dont really understand the quandry with people, the kid whose buying 3 extras or whatever... thats what you call an investment, you put money into it in the hopes that it will make you more money down the road, its like stocks, its not guaranteed but if he can capitalize, then it was a sound investment... if not, then he just wasted his time.

there is no quandary...just one person riding in on their moral high horse, arguing contradicting points over and over again.
You will always find SOMEONE who will pay an obsene amount for a LE/CE. As to the value there is no way to determine it; it's whatever some schmuck is willing to pay.
IMO it wasn't worth the $100. If it had additional Diablo items inside it would have been more of a sale. I do not play WoW or SC2 and those *special items* were an attempt at marketing the other titles. Even besides that, I was on the fence for the D3 one: Then I realized I still have D1, D2 & LoD and have no use for a huge skull USB holder. Then again, I'm in my mid-30's

I'd be curious if they had a page like this for the US stores because I called 5 Best Buy's that were on the midnight list and they ALL said they will have NO CE copies for sale. They were only opening for those who pre-ordered CE and if you wanted to purchase an SE copy.
I was under the impression that Best Buy wasnt taking in store pre orders on CEs. Futureshop is having a midnight opening and it is first come, first serve for CEs and they are owned by Best Buy...
Yeah, not sure. They aren't even quite sure as they said, as of today, they have no stock. They just say they are getting enough to fulfill preorders. I'm guessing they just don't want to promise that they'll have stock of CE.
So much rage in this thread, CE's aren't that rare really.
For the people who pre-ordered multiple copies, well good for you for having some business sense.
I just want a copy to play and enjoy.
Aussies, jbhifi and ebgames are still offering pre-orders. To the other people internationally, if us Aussies with our HORRIBLE games market can get copies still, surely you can find somewhere that does too, good luck.
This is slightly off topic but I might aswell post in here because some of you might still be looking for the elusive CE. Anyways, Blizz seems to be partnered up with Best Buy and they have 50 CE copies of D3 at select stores for the midnight release. I am Canadian and I know the Canadian stores are doing it, but I am not sure if its the same in USA. I would assume so because both BB and Blizz are American and I can't see why they would just do this for Canada (although we are pretty damn awesome).

The list of stores on that flyer is a very small selection with only a handful of locations. The only reason I see them doing this at select locations and not at every store is to promote these stores. For instance, I am in Edmonton and the two locations listed on the flyer here are two stores I didn't even no existed and the BB I have visited isn't on the list. Maybe they are trying to promote new stores or stores with lower than average sales.

Well that probably answers it. Instead of doing pre-order they use it to try and get people who couldn't pre-order else where to go to their store. If this is the case, the stores that arn't doing midnight release might have 50 copies when they open later in the morning on the 15th. After a breif search on FS midnight release I didn't see any mention of CE anywhere but I will take your word on it. Either way, people in Canada still looking for the CE still have a chance to get one - they will just have to wait in line.
On a side note, I usually shop at Future Shop instead of its competitors because I thought it was a Canadian run company. Guess I don't need to do that anymore
I pre-ordered mine off Amazon on March 15 so there was plenty of time for people to snatch their own CE copy.
People can't expect to be able to grab a CE a couple of weeks before the game comes out and more importantly a game like this which is the most anticipated game of the year... and if someone can afford more than one CE for whatever reason then that's their decision and no one has the right to judge them on that. This game is LE so there are only so many copies and i was originally going to order my CE from my local Gamestop but when i went to try to pre-order one on march 15 they were already sold out on copies so luckily that day i saw Amazon still taking pre-order and snatched one quickly from there. If someone really wanted a CE than they should of foreseen the unexpected.
Awww you guys are so overreacting. If I had the money I would've bought 100 of them and sold them at 3x the original price. It's a brand new world of capitalism.

I phoned the specific futureshop i plan to go to and asked about CEs and the guy said they had about a dozen in stock. I also made sure to confirm that it was first come, first serve for the CEs

Just make sure you are their early enough to be near the front of the lineup.
Hmm I'm tempted to do the same thing now. There is a future shop directly across the street from the store I preordered from, and I know they wont have the CE. So maybe I will go to the futureshop and pick up a CE and then walk across the street and get my standard editon lol.
Blue posts have said that if you want a CE and haven't already ordered one, you better hurry as "most" stores have sold out of them. They suggested that a Target or Walmart at midnight might be your bets bet for locating one that was not spoken for. This was at least a week ago.
The reason you see so many CE's of games after release is that stores such as Walmart get a certain number of them, but don't sell them all. Hence the logic behind the first part of my post. They want to have them out for sale, so they put on or two out on display. Sometimes they get bought and they pull another one from the stock room to replace it. The company is not printing more of them months after release.
