I haven't thought about names yet, cause frankly - I don't really care. But, now that they're not visible for others to see (for now), I could care even less. Anyone else feel the same, and will give less than unique names? Let's keep the QQ to a zero, and complaints in another thread. Troll only if you can do it properly.
I'll go first:
CharacterOne
CharacterTwo
CharacterThree
CharacterFour
CharacterFive
CharacterSix
CharacterSeven
CharacterEight
CharacterNine
CharacterTen
Edit:
Whiny? QQ? No, LOL.
I was actually trying to pool our sarcastic talent, but if I bruise a few bajingo's, that's fine too.

"The Unchosen" Pain of Admirance Sigil (For those without -Feat of Strength-):
well nuggets and blujay, guess u should change your battletag to charcter and gray HUH , ill keep all mine named random cave something since most my friends i play with call me cave anyways - cavedeath, caveblood, caveslash, WD -Drcave lol,
It still shows up in game dialog, so I'll make a name that still works. Plus, there may be an "armory" type feature in the future that will show your character names.
I'm turning overhead names off because battletags suck. That's the bigger issue. Most of them suck because they have to be unique, and because they're too short.
My girlfriend uses GlitterPoison.
She has to be GlittrPoison the entire time because battletags are obnoxiously short.
Also, it's just a variety thing. I feel having a different name hover over each character gives that character identity and individuality. I would rather have the ingame chat go battletag[name]: blah blah or something.
My character names will remain the same. Am i disapointed that my character wont be defined by her name, but by my battletag? yes. is that going to affect my total outlook on the game? no.
yeah this mildly sucks. but put your big boy pants on, stop your balling, and play the game

(this build was before D3 launched... looking back on it now - i had no idea what i was doing)
This new system is indeed disappointing. Account names should be hidden. Hiding character names makes no sense. I will certainly still be using good character names though.
Suggest still make cool names as i predict that Blizz will create the possibility of options for either tag or toon names to show in game... in the future...
