I am insulted by you people having an obnoxious need to turn everything into an argument instead of just assuming priori.
And there we have the problem with people who don't understand the modern contextual basis of threaded forums. If I was addressing encryption, I was replying to whoever was claiming the disc would be encrypted, those comments were not contextually directed at you.
Unfortunately when you quote my posts and then use the word "you", you're generally speaking about me.
My logic is simple:
Blizzard doesn't want their whole client datamined prior to release. They know that people will get the retail early, possibly up to a week. If they allow a full install, then they defeat their own plan of keeping everything a secret. All they have to do is include a simple time lock on the installer that pings their servers and checks the time and status. There is zero information about a datamined retail client.
Where do you think the list of endgame bosses came from?
At this point you're just being deliberately obtuse.

Typed "Diablo 3 end game bosses" into Google and nothing came up. Go ahead and forward all your secret information to my email: clawixp@yahoo.com.
Servers open here at March 14th 7AM PST. And that will be 1 hour after the before-release event has ended.. which will be held a ten minute sub ride away from where I live.
I am definitely going, its like a mini blizzcon, let alone the fact you get to have your picture taken on a green screen with Tyrael (if you live in UK) , Have fun in France with the dark wanderer lololol.
See no point in missing out on the celebration, just to fail at getting world first(Im quite happy to say there will be some gamer killing, himself to get it, let him ). Don't get me wrong , I will be going for Inferno as quick as I can, but I don't see how missing out on a night of festivities for a game that's been oh so long overdue, will harm any experience. At most it will knock off about 2 hours of game play at start.
The physical copy is encrypted just as the digital version. If you try to install it before the game has gone live in your region, it cannot contact the server and get the encryption key. Blizzard is not stupid. If the DVD version had no encryption, the Internet would already be flooded with datamined information. I really don't know why people still argue over this? And the game cannot be installed offline. I have no sources; it's just common sence.
I'm going to the launch. Going to camp outside the door like a hobo and growl at those who try to squeeze in before me. The awkward part will be if I'm the only one who goes v.v.

but in the end, we're all on this site because we love the franchise.
and we're less than two weeks away! be happy!

I think he's the one that needs to learn to read.
Careful. Your common sense could easily provoke the angry one.
Also to clear up some info thats going around here.
Everything that has been datamined, as been from the BETA, the only thing that has been grabed from the retail client was un-encytped install images which can be found HERE: http://www.diablofans.com/news/1121-diablo-iii-launcher-story/
edit: if anyone hasnt seen those, I have them posted in order with text here: http://www.diablofans.com/topic/37167-launcher-story-slideslow/page__hl__launcher__fromsearch__1

So, you're just here to be a douchebag, or?
kinda like calling someone here a *gasp* 'diablofan'
what else is not-so-new?
A term of endearment, considering were all sitting on the forums for a game that isn't even out yet.
