I couldn't stand those new tech monitors called lcd/led as well Led are much better than lcds but good crts are better than them. But if you buy good expensive tv with good blacks and size and all they may be as good as crts (i've bought one with new moth eye stuff which kills reflections and my eyes loves it. Black levels are awesome as well).
about to go pick up a 27" LED. by the end of next week ill have enough money to build my new computer! just in time for D3
You're going to love it =) I've got a 27" 1080P LCD w/ LED @ 2ms. Best monitor I've gotten so far =) The LED makes SUCH a difference when you compare back and forth with just say a LCD monitor.
You guys know LED monitors use LCD's right? You can't say LED is better than LCD. LCD is the screen, LED is the light source. The older LCD's used CCFL (cold cathode fluorescent lamps) as the light source.
oh, and i'll be playing on my 15.6" laptop screen while I'm in Europe for summer, then I'll return to the states and play on my 24" LED back-lit LCD monitor.

Somehow I could see a difference between LCD and LED. Maybe it is because of the other technologies behind each type and not because one is LCD and second LED.
46" LED TV I have everything run to my TV with optical audio. It's a pain when switching to my 360 or to the TV, but I plan to get a second TV to dedicate to my computer anyway.
I've got 2 23" 1080p screens. I've tried and owned bigger ones (50", 42", 37", and 32") but they were just too big for how far away I like my screens to be on my desk. I've come to the conclusion that right around 23-24" is perfect for me as long as they are at least 1080p or 16:10, anything smaller and I feel like I'm missing out and anything bigger and I start to get a headache.
This is only my viewpoint for computers and gaming though, I love my 50" plasma right where it is in the living room playing netflix and blurays. :Thumbs Up:

I agree with the majority of what you said. However, colors are much brighter and crisp with an LED backlight. And hey, who doesn't like that sexy cool, thinner than my pinky finger look?!

It's a simple 24" 60Hz 16:10 monitor with a resolution of 1920x1200 ...
I guess I could also play on my Philips 40" 100Hz TV, but that's toooooo crazy ^^
52" second screen (as a TV and second screen)
