I'm not too sure yet. I might even get some brilliant idea to level all 5 classes at once, but I doubt it. Maybe 2, idk.
The first eight hours are so are going to be complete madness. After that, I'll hit up Best Buy and get my CE, get that all fixed up, and then take it casually.
All good posts. My only concern at the moment is spoilers. I want to take my good ol' time, but I really don't want anything to spoil my first run through normal mode =/
Be it friends, forums, youtube, etc. Guess I'll just have to shut off my phone and internet for that week.
Prolly 10 to 12 hours to beat normal on your first time, if you shoot straight through. (for an average player, meaning I expect you to die at later acts)
Straight through for good players will probably take 6 to 9 hours.
These are all just general shots in the dark though, based off of what we had access to in the beta/demo, which didn't even complete the first act.
How long do you think it will take to beat normal mode (estimated lvl 30) without rushing with a group for some sort of "hit level 60 fast" achievement.
I'm talking... "I love Diablo 3 lore, I want to play normal mode at a nice pace and take everything in" pace.
How long do you think it will take?
I'm just curious - I plan to play all day on the 12th. I'm trying to figure out if I will be able to beat normal mode on the 12th or if I will need to shut my phone off for a few days until I beat it so that my friends don't spoil any plot.
Obviously any guess is speculation, unless someone can find a post from a blue regarding the time to beat normal? I remember them saying it would be ~lvl 30 but I don't remember if there were posts talking about the hour investment.
Where did you come up with the 12th?
it says the 15th to me? where did u guys get the 12th?....and on top of that how can it take 2 weeks to beat normal....theres no way it will take that long even tho they infact did up the diff over all...im pretty sure u will be able to beat norma in a day or 2 the real game begins from NM and on so i think NM will take about a week over all hell will take longer(depending on skill/item drops from monsters) the real challenge will be inferno...not only because it will be SUPER HAD but also u will have to farm hell ALOT inorder to come even close to being in inferno and stand and fight...so reall normal will be too ez nm will b normal hell will be hard and inferno will be...well im pretty sure inferno will just suck LOL not only that my buddys and i are gonna rush threw normal...cause normal itmes are not that good we will be taking our time in nm/hell inorder to try to get threw inferno as soon as we are done with hell (even tho it wont happen but we still will try) happy hunting and cant wait for the LORE!!!
I hope it's more than 30h. With an adventurous playing style
That would be like snail speed.
First 3rd of act one takes maybe an hour to complete if you aren't rushing, which means that the whole act might take 3 hours. There are 4 acts in the game, so that's 3*4 = 12 hours. Also remember that the 4th act is much shorter than the others.
More than 30 hours would be roughly 8 hours per act. That's way too much for story mode....

"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?"
I'll be taking my sweet ass time. I dont understand some people's rush to get to inferno and do everything there is to do in the game as quickly as possible. Chances are we have 8-12 years before diablo 4 happens, if it ever happens at all, so I plan to enjoy this game as a comfortable pace, taking everything in, exploring every random dungeon i find. I'm expecting somewhere from 15-30 hrs for my first playthrough of normal, after that i'll knock off 5-10 hrs for the other classes since i'll probably skip cutscenes, but i'll still explore dungeons looking for new random events(jar of souls...etc...)
So take your pick If you want to go normal but still skip optional stuff 10-15H, if you want 100% 20-25Hr. Speaking to everyone, regularly + exploring parts that are far from where you are takes a lot of time running around.
I'm thinking along these lines as well. 15-18 hours to rush (skipping a lot), 24+ hours if you do things at a more "natural" or "intended" pace.
