So, with that, almost all of you will now have a chance at the beta.
Feel free to share all your thoughts here, both good, and bad (though... That's just crazy talk =))
Jokes aside, there may indeed be things you might not like, but lets keep it constructive =D
My thoughts on the Beta: This is awesome.
My thoughts on my friends being able to play the Beta: oh god please no

"Hey, I thought you'd like the witty irony of grub-on-glowie violence!"

I've been in the beta since October and I'm still playing it, so it must be pretty awesome. There isn't much content to it, of course, but it's a beta so what can you expect? I just realized I've been playing since beta patch 4... jeez. Seen a lot of changes, and I really like where it's at now. I never get bored in the beta. I will farm my arse off just to see how high of DPS/Magic Find/Gold Find/etc that I can get. I've also only been playing solo, except for a few times I ran through with a buddy of mine.
I'm glad everyone is going to get a chance to play. It's nice for people to be able to play the classes they are interested in and see how they feel so they can decide before launch what they want to start with.

What a jerkface!
Don't get me wrong I really don't mind that they're playing it, but it's the constant talking about it and how they know 'everything' about it that annoys me.
EDIT: I am a jerkface! but mainly only to them.

I'm getting the same result, too, error 12, no license attached. Probably the whole thing hasn't started yet. I think it's supposed to start at 22 pm for Bulgaria, so just a few hours to go.
For anyone with the "error 12" blizz has stated that the most successful fix for this is to change your password on your batte.net account. This will cause your account information to "refresh" then you can simply change it back to what it was. Hopefully this will help anyone who isn't reading front pages here or blizz forumns!
I was on last night and got a good feel for it, ran a monk threw the game, and a barb thu hardcore co-op. I saw a taste of how badly this game is going to engulf the next year of my life, and if pvp is what i hope it is. Im in trouble lol.
I hate to say that this is that is wrong, since is probably just me being a beginner by not knowing how to do something, but every time i swich from hero to hero, it seams that the zone resets, as example, i go off the hardcore barb, and on to the monk for 30 min, and then back to the barb, and when i enter the game, everything is alive again and i haven't even explored the city. I also cant figure out how to transfer money and items between characters.
Error 37 this morning, odd since its like 5 30am pdt, thought id be able to get on

Money is account based, not character, and there is a chest in front of the inn where you can store items to be used across your account

As Asphyxiate mentioned your gold is account wide. The amount you see in your inventory is gathered and spent on all your character.
As for the terrain resetting - that's actually a feature of the game. Almost the entire geography in Diablo 3 randomizes itself each game. This means that one time the doorway to level 3 Cathedral will be at the south side, sometimes on the north side... or just anywhere to be honest. It could be in the middle. That's part of the charm of the Diablo series. Each game you play is unique.
This also goes for quests outside the town. Sometimes you may get the quest "The Jar of Souls" in the Cemetery, other times you might get another. Randomization is awesome and I'm sure you'll soon come to love it yourself.
Barbarian 3h30min
Monk 2h40
Wizzard 2h40
Witch Doctor 2h50
Demon Hunter 1h30
All of em killed SK, some of em more than once.
Had a fun night, and i think i finaly decided to play the Barbarian as a main, and a bit of a wizzard and a WD for slackin off...
Have the energy to play more but after that much time i dont want to be sick of the game before it even goes live.
I know that zones have strict edges and randomized interiors, and i do know that gold is meant to be shared. But when i logged back on, everything except my level was reset. for example, i had to do the whole beginning quest chain just to be able to see the stash on my barbarian every time i re log on to him. I do hear that the stash is shared, but when i put items into it, they only show for that hero, and same with gold. On one character, im at 20 000 and another, im at 100.

Your stash/gold not being shared is a bug, which will probably not happen on release. You could post in the beta forums in case no one has told them about the issue.
With your issue of starting at the first quest every time, that's normal after beating the Skeleton King. If you want to start a game at a later quest, you can choose a quest in the menu.

What a jerkface!
Every thing downloaded & installed just fine, but when I try to log in it tells me there is no Daiblo 3 license attached. Error 12.
Anyone got any ideas about this?
Edit - Oya and about them allowing us an open beta weekend.
