I'll join if you want me. Barbarian will probably be my first character. EST. Have 25 person capped vent you can use if needed (even if you don't need me.)
OP: It is absolutely fine if you work 9-5 and can only play 3-5 hours a day.
You are so generous
I think you may scare many people off with it. Change it to smth like min 21h / week. Some people play almost exclusively weekends and only like 2h on week days. It's not WoW. Think about short "boss" + some elites runs for the buff which you may do in like 1h play every day, also people may come and leave anytime. Any per day restrictions are unnecessary, if somebody leave or join nothing bad happens as like I said it is not WoW.

Will fully respond later, but just wanted to say I'm glad there are some people who want to fully enjoy the game and not try to be first at something. Going to talk to my friend later on and see if he's down for this, we both plan on clearing everything completely, not skipping a single crevice of a dungeon and listening to all the stories.
Then venerable ones Veggie and sircaw I, if I may, suggest a Brotherhood based on fuzzy asians.
Raccoon Dogs (eg Tanuki) are introduced from China but have populations in europe. Most fitting the circumstance.
Sounds like a great idea. My problem is I want to run a wizard to 60 first and start farming before I get into any other classes. Seems as though you are wizard heavy atm. My second char is gonna be based mainly on the loot I get, unless its WD loot. I don't want to play that class until last.
As far as your questions, been a Diablo fan since I saw the trailer on WC2.
I started a clan in D1. Been in guilds in Tactical Ops (FPS unreal tournment mod), Star Wars galaxies and WoW. Just so you know though, i am lazy when it comes to game leadership. I want to play, not deal with peoples problems. When I joined my WoW guild (which had many of my SWG members) my joining condition was I was to be given no authority over others. They made me an officer anyway. DOH!
3rd Wizard.
4th. I'm not rushing in one sense, but am in another. I don't like to show up to bosses underleveled and get 1 shotted to pieces. So while I am going to be fast paced, i still want the lore and I will kill every demon I can find before I get to the boss.
5th I'm playing everyday.
6th. I use vent when I have too, but I am not a fan. I don't mind talking but the subjects that come up on vent can be a bit annoying. I also hate the guy who thinks he has to tell everyone what to do all the time. You know the guy, the one who will give you detailed instructions on how to wipe your ass. Hey man, i got it, its a bio break, I'm not sending a lego man into orbit.
7th. Suggestions. My worst fear in joining a group like this of people isI really don't know how many people will really be giving up much stuff for trade iin early weeks of the game. There will be alts, rl friends, RMAH or AH, mats needed for artisans, and then I would be adding one more group of people to a list of all ready demanding sources my gear will go. After a few weeks, I could see gear being shared more though. You may want to come up with an incentive to have those people prioritize gear for your group first. Maybe something like those who share the most gear, get first dibs in game spots. Of course, people could throw trash your way then. Probably would have to create a gear score/grade. Gear score is kind of a four letter word or phrase however.
8th Central US
9th. Yes 38
10th I'm willing to share, trade, give or whatever but probably more after first few weeks. I need to get myself settled into the game.
11th. Sometimes I like being a loner, sometimes I enjoy the company. Its normally a 50/50 mix for me.
To give you a summary of how my playing will go. I am definitely going to play solo until SK. I don't want to be rushed to him because everyone is bored with the content. After that, I may try a pug unless friends are on already. I have a group of at least 5 that want to run almost everyday. I have another group of 11 or so that will hop back and forth between SWTOR and Diablo. I probably end up doing some solo stuff if I not feeling the group play. I would love to join a dedicated group too. I just feel I maybe starting to cut my playtime up between different groups too much.
Last bit of info. I plan on playing 3 hours on, 1 hour off to manage my righthand injury (steak knife through palm of hand.) A click intensive game can bother it. Diablo isn't too bad though, its heavy thumb movement that causes most pain and swelling.
Hi! im actually pretty interested in a play group. My first plan was to play with my friends but they don't seem very interested in the game (yet, i hope to get them hooked after launch.)
Do you have any Diablo or any A-RPG experience?
A-rpgs I've played include diablo 1 and 2, neverwinter nights 1 and 2, dragon age origins, oblivion and skyrim.
Have you ever been part of a committed group for any video game, card game, role-playing game (D&D) or board game before?
I've played tabletop rpgs once a week for the past 14 years with the same group, originally on saturdays but its been our official wensday activity for almost a decade now. I also use to a attend a LAN party every friday night for a couple of years before WoW killed it.
What class do you plan to start with?
my two top choices are barb and wizard, with monk being a very far third.
Do you plan on rushing or taking your time through Normal? If you're taking your time, what will you be doing for Nightmare / Hell / Inferno?
Ill enjoy the story throu normal then kind of rush through with some farming when I feel like i needed
How often will you be able to play?
Hard to say, but i should be able to play a couple of hours each night (except wensday) and a lot more on saturday and sunday mornings.
Do you have a microphone and are you willing to use Ventrilo? (If you answer no to this - then, well, you didn't read my OP :))
Yes.
Do you have any suggestions for a group like this?
nothing comes to mind right now, it feels it'll be casual enough to allow my social and married life to go on yet hardcore enough to advance fairly quickly throu content
What timezone are you in?
-5 gmt (ESTish... but in ecuador, south america)
Are you over the age of 18?
Im 30
Will you share and trade within the group as much as you can, or just a little?
yes i will gladly trade with the group. Its the most logical option as trading will improve individual statsw which in turn will improve the group as a whole and that benefits me. As a general rule i like to share class especific loot to the members of that class in the party, something that its not easily done in random groups because you have no guaranty of reciprocity.
Will you prefer co-op or playing alone?
Until october ill play almost exclusively coop. In october my baby will be born and i will probably play solo while im on baby duty. I wouldn't like to go afk on people to change diapers or stuff like that.
ANother thing is that english is not my native languaje, but im fairly good in it. i hope that wont be too much trouble.
EDIT: I know you are not allowing more Red Pandas, but i hope you have room for a Spectacled Bear.
Have you ever been part of a committed group for any video game, card game, role-playing game (D&D) or board game before?
No but I have had experience playing with group play just not as part of a specific clan or such.
What class do you plan to start with?
Do you plan on rushing or taking your time through Normal? If you're taking your time, what will you be doing for Nightmare / Hell / Inferno?
I plan on taking my time with Normal so I can soak up as much of the lore as possible. After that its up to the majority opinion of the group - if they want to rush I'll rush, if they want to take their time thats cool too.
How often will you be able to play?
Probably at least 3 hours a day, beyond that depends on the constantly changing demands of work and family.
Do you have a microphone and are you willing to use Ventrilo? (If you answer no to this - then, well, you didn't read my OP :))
I don't have a problem with it.
Do you have any suggestions for a group like this?
Sounds like you have the right idea.
What timezone are you in?
Central
Are you over the age of 18?
Yes. (As a side note I'll have share some of my drinking stories from my time in the Navy later)
Will you share and trade within the group as much as you can, or just a little?
I plan on playing the WD exclusively until I master that class completely (which is likely to take a lot of time) so any non-WD gear I will share with the group for sure. Beyond that I'll trade or share any 'decent' WD gear I find. I plan on playing a summoning build so I'll likely have a lot of extra loot that doesn't really help with such a build.
I played Diablo 2 years ago when I was younger. Loads of MMO experience, several years of WoW.
Have you ever been part of a committed group for any video game, card game, role-playing game (D&D) or board game before?
I raided back in the days of 40-man Vanilla wow raids, leading and class officer, then turning only to pvp from TBC on towards Cata playing with high rated arena teams 2500+ on multiple classes speeding tremendous amounts of times
What class do you plan to start with?
I’ve been putting loads of thought into it and probably doomed myself because I’m stuck between Barbarian, Witch Doctor and Wizard. However, I’m leaning toward Barbarian atm, due to the fact I’ve consistently played casting classes.
Do you plan on rushing or taking your time through Normal? If you're taking your time, what will you be doing for Nightmare / Hell / Inferno?
Rushing no, but certainly not taking my time, more of an upbeat tempo pace. I plan to enjoy the game regardless how quickly or slowly I play while becoming the best at my class as possible challenging myself along the way. However, I’m not opposed to the idea of rushing.
How often will you be able to play?
I’ll be back from school on college vacation as of April 25th. Giving me all the time I want to kick some ass. With sleepless nights included.
Do you have a microphone and are you willing to use Ventrilo? (If you answer no to this - then, well, you didn't read my OP )
I’ve got a microphone and I’m willing to use any sort of communication including ventrilo. However, I’ve fallen in love with skype for games because of is quality and speed.
Do you have any suggestions for a group like this?
Strong personality core, players wanting to become as best as possible, and overall a group of fun, knowledgeable, challenging individuals as we make our way through hell, making great friends along the way.
What timezone are you in?
Eastern Standard Time U.S. Tennessee
Are you over the age of 18?
Yes, 19 and have a fun kickass personality to boot.
Will you share and trade within the group as much as you can, or just a little?
Of course! The team will only be at its prime as long as we all contribute and work together. However, my sharing can have a direct correlation due to the asshole and douchebag level of those that are with me. If they are as chill as me we’ll be friends for a long time.
Will you prefer co-op or playing alone?
I was looking forward to co-op playing. The opportunity to use strategy and flawless team coordination to overcome the odds sounds a lot more fun than solo gaming could rival. While also giving myself a harder challenge, more loot, and loads more fun.
My goals include: Becoming the best, making great friends/partners, and especially having loads of fun.
Send me message if there are any questions concerning anything.

Yeah...I went to bed early and there are like 8 new people wanting in..:x..
Edit: And it seems most of them are Wizards.
Believe it or not, only one person has said they were going to be a Demon Hunter..
We're getting close to the limit.
17/25 - Will be going over apps on the 2nd page.
One thing I am going to try to attempt avoiding is segregation. I'm also trying to get a good bit of UK/Western European players in the group.
I have Easter Dinner today - so I may or may not message you. Please know that I'm saving all of this in NP++. I will be able to see who I've talked to and who I've asked questions.
Please be patient - and I will get back to you asap.
Hm..
I edited my last post and answered your questionnaire.

That is a loaded statement full of bias. Not once did I ever say having WoW experience was necessary.
Also - Don't post in my topic if you're going to post useless remarks that aren't even remotely close to the truth.
Just precautions to understand and help me pick and choose what kind of people I am getting involved with.
I've been looking into that. I don't want to force the EU players into a high latency environment.
It is - but I accept EU players. I'm trying to work something out for US and EU players.
