Hmmm like D2 wasn't released for the money, like buying Blizzard North (well before it was renamed as such) wasn't for the money.
Like D2 was perfect when it was released.
Generally no since the direction WoW has gone (as a company) I do not trust them. They aren't the same company that I grew up with. WoW has made them very cocky and their PR in general is horrible. (Sorry in the 7+ years since WoW they've only managed to release one game that wasn't an expansion that's pretty dismal for a company.) I do however trust them to bring out a great product when they do though. I think Diablo 3 will be very enjoyable I don't think it will have the longevity of Diablo 2. This is my opinion of course but I'm very disappointed in Starcraft 2 yes it is fun... but it lacks something the original had.. and is a lot more of the same without the really fun map creation tools wc3 had. Expecting the same of D3.
Companies that have the attitude that they know better than their customers are doomed to fail. Can you imagine ordering a sandwich with no tomatoes and the chef says he know better than you that tomatoes make the sandwich good? That is not a successful business model.
This couldn't be further from the truth. Most companies that provide a specialist service are hired specifically because they know better than the customer. That's the whole point- they do it better than you, so you pay them to do it. Even your restaurant example is pretty bad, since many high-end restaurants have exactly that business model (no substitutions menus) because the chef knows what makes a good flavor profile better than you do. They're successful because they're right.
Blizzard is a professional game design company, and they know what makes good games. They do know better than their average customers when it comes to game design. Listening to ideas from the community is great, but they do better ignoring most of it and making a good game their way.
And they don't think they can do, they just do. They're saying that they (the game developers) know better then us (the gamers) what's good for us. And I think they're right. I'm sure we all consider ourselfs pro gamers, but I'm humble, I can't create games, so I put my trust in those who can, and proved them selfs.

I don't think Blizzard is taking this attitude, and I sure hope they don't.
Except we're talking about the specific details of a several year project made to fit every single person that touches it vs ordering a personal sammich. Last time I checked I'm not going to amazon to buy sandwiches. They're a local thing that can be made and eaten within minutes given any/the right prep, and crapped out a day later. If enough people wanted something to happen in d3, it would probably happen. Unfortunately and fortunately for us not everyone holds the same opinion concerning most things, so people run around complaining about every single detail and aspect of each game like they're entitled.
Blizzard is, in my opinion, the best game company that will ever be.
ROFLMAO.
You need to get out more.
Or you know it could be that he needs to go out less and spend more time with games in order to gain more info of the gaming industry to realize the existence of these awesome game companies that you are aware of and makes blizzard laughable in comparison?
Just saying
Do I trust them? Dunno, do I care? No. I see a game it looks great and if I can try it out even better. I buy a game because its fun... move on to the next. If I see a blizzard brand do I gravitate towards it yes, but if its crap I won't play it.
Well, I meant what you said too. Probably he hasn't met nice people so he doesn't know how they are. Companies like activision-blizzard are just moneygrabbing monsters that don't care about their employess, not even their products as long as they bring in money. If someone is the best artist in the world, they will fire him cause he costs more than X and his art is less apealing to the "target demographics". Since the day management and marketing got into artistic companies, they went to hell. (video games are a form of art imo, they got music, they got graphics, narration, heck even gameplay is an art)
There are way better game devs around there, who treat customers and employees way better than blizzard. Once blizzard was a great small studio. Now...
Please list such developers and games besides Bioware.
I don't go out of my way to find out the inside corporate culture of a company because I have better things to do with my life. If you’re that anti money grabbing you better stop buying your Wal-Mart products and only ever buy local, if not you’re a hypocrite.

Playing Diablo since 97. I know nothing and having nothing good to say, I be a troll.

Don't forget about Blackthorne I trust that Blizzard is going to make a great game that I enjoy, just as they have in the past with many, many other games. Ultimately I want to have fun and just get away for a while or play an exciting game with friends. If I can do that then playing one of their games then I feel that they have done their job.
I trusted Blizzard North to make a sequel to D2. Considering they no longer exist, and the current developers don't know what the hell they are doing...
Diablo - grandfather of the ARPG
Warcraft - extremely popular
WoW - biggest MMO in history, and still going stronger than any other MMO
SC - biggest esport, national sport of Korea
uhhh, yea. Blizzard is still on top. And they will be, for a long damn time.
If you don't trust Blizzard then you don't trust Diablo III. If you don't trust Diablo III then you probably shouldn't be reading Diablo III forums.
People should trust in what they do with their time, otherwise they are half-assing tasks or simply wasting their lives.
Personal Development Forums Ahoy!
Yes, I do trust Diablo III and Blizzard is notorious for delivering quality. The game might only be above average upon release, but after a few patches it is going to sore above and destroy any game not released by Blizzard - hopefully WoW too.
Hi, I'm a martian. I came to this world a year ago. We martians aren't a minority though, both my friends are martians too!
Now don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with criticizing Blizzard, as long as it's constructive. "You suck", "You failed" and "You're not worth our trust" is in no way constructive, not to mention wildly undeserved.

Get real.
I'm pretty sure it will be identical to D3.

They aren't run by Activision and the same guys running the company are the same games that started it 2 decades ago.
The two are not comparable.
