Fortunately I am moving to 1st shift but I don't know what my schedule will be like around that time, either way I am getting it at midnight and playing for a couple days straight.
I'm planning to quit my job before D3 is released. It's a dead end job anyway and I've been planning to quit for a while, have some money stored up so that I can go a few months without having to work. Think the right time to quit is when D3 comes out.
Respect - on so many levels. I love the foresight to save up as well, not a lot of people would do that. If your going to quit good to have something to keep you occupied and D3 will definitely do that.
Also just throwing it out there, maybe make a new interim career selling stuff on the RMAH? haha
im doing mine after work today, probably a week, want to know something incredible, I'm in Australia so I'm 1 day in the future to the US, I'm going to watch City and Colour on May 15th so 'ill get home around middnight which wont be far off launch OMG YES BEST DAY EVER.
You better believe it! Nice thing is I don't work Tues-Thurs as it is, so I'm putting in for Monday night off (and maybe that Friday just because I don't have much else to burn vac days on) so I should have several full days to blow on D3 at launch. Bring it on! ?
I probably will not take time off... I have a big boy job... and they probably won't be happy about me taking work off for a video game...
Um, I have a big boy job too, and you don't have to specify your reasons for taking your allotted paid time off. Your job must suck or you must be a low-level employee. At any rate your attempt to sound superior failed miserably.
I, on the other hand, have used up all my paid time off with a scheduled trip to Hawaii this summer for two weeks. However, I have one floating holiday to use - and May 15th happens to be my birthday!
I am considering taking some unpaid time off. As long as I request it a month in advance, nobody will question it.

I think he might meant smth bigger than being a software developer. It's not a big boy job, just slightly more well paid otherwise it's like any other office job. If he is a ceo or somebody else with a lot of responsibility then it is a big boy job. But in such a case if I were him I would ensure I work 4 days per week to compensate for amount of responsibility unless he is boss of his own company. In anyway if he can't keep a proper balance between his personal live and job in a long run his life will be a failure.
I don't even want to marry cause I'm to worry to loose my time and forget what playing games was like. If I stopped playing games I would think about my live as a failure as well. Personally I'd like someday to earn reasonable amount of money and work just four days/week.
My last day of high school is May 17th so no need. Sadly I got relatives coming in for my graduation in about a week after so I gotta go no life for a whole week.

I don't always burn. But when I do, I use hellfire.
I also have a "Big Boy Job" and I'll be taking a few days off. Two months time in advance to clear it is not an issue what-so-ever. Gonna fire it up at Midnight and play straight through. No breaks till you at least clear normal mode!
Diablo 3 has been so long in the making that I have 3 weeks saved, of which I plan to use 2... because I am actually done working in June anyway for college in September figures.
I have a big boy job too ... which means I'm taking PTO for 15-16. Maybe more but two friends Imma play D3 with just took new jobs, so they wont have the flex with PTO.
I work for myself. I'll be taking a few days away from the field and in the office around the 15th and 16th. I have a feeling there will be a lot of paperwork to do those days. Ha

So stoked to start playing!
Those who run a business have their business for their boss. And sorry to say but most of them don't have a time off when they really want it
