This my ninja monk. He uses stun, dodge and slow avoiding taking hits but dealing tons of damage with crippling wave, seven sided strike and deadly reach.
Hungering Arrow
Rune: Devouring Arrow
Exp: With this build you will be slowing alot of enemies (or just one) so you can easily move around them to line them up for
a pierced attack.
Secondary skill
Rapid fire
Rune: Web shot
Exp: Used with your marked for death and Cull the Weak you will be doing amazing damage against a single target. Useful for PVE and PVP. The web shot just makes sure the enemy is slowed at all times.
Defensive
Caltrops
Rune: Hooked Spines
Exp: The slow trap is to make sure that the enemy cant reach you and to let you do as much damage as possible.
Archery
Marked for Death
Rune: Grim Reaper
Exp: While you are attacking the main marked target with marked for death you are also splashing that damage to the others around him (and a plus if they are slowed) ;).
Devices
Cluster Arrow
Rune: Loaded for Bear
Exp: There is a need for more damage and why not this! I mean great on hit dmg plus a splash while you are already splashing the marked target. Beautiful.
Shadow
Companion
Rune: Spider Companion/Boar
Exp: The spider is great for making sure the enemy is slowed forever making your damage and safety consistant. While the boar would be great for a continued splash damage for helping those mages clear rooms ;).
Passive Skills
Cull the Weak - 100% needed for this build since you will be slowing every enemy you see. Nothing beats an extra 15% damage.
Archery- Since I dont see a Demon hunter will be running around with a sword anytime soon (or maybe.....O.o New build needed!!!) this will be useful to get some extra dmg from regular bows or boost that crit up with hand bows. With all the attacks you'll be doing, you want to have that extra umph.
Sharpshooter- You want all the crit??? well there ya go enjoy +3% chance every second. Add that with an Xbow and you got a deadly combo....yes
My plan with this barb build was pretty basic : i want enough fury generation to spam HoA. so this build is assuming 2 one-handed mighty weapons (extra fury from passive). the idea is to leap attack into a mob, bash once, and then be able to alternative HoA and bash 1 for 1. with the weapons master passive and instigation-runed bash, he can generate 15 fury per bash, for some serious HoA action. On top of that, i think revenge with the provocation rune is one of the most OP skills in the game. a %30 proc.. really? Ignore pain and WotB for boss/difficult fights. Tough as Nails passive is automatic with +armor and +thorns. Ruthless passive adds important crit, although for some reason i think Pound of Flesh will be worth taking at some point.
So I came up with this build because i thought it would be funny as hell. All zombies all the time. so heres my Witch Doctor build i call "Walking Dead".
The idea is to push back melee enemies and try to evade/tank as much ranged damage as possible.(PvE oriented)
-Electrocute with Surge of Power + Prodigy: It's the basic way of getting arcane power, playing by having aways at least 15 so I can use Wave of Force whenever it's off cooldown and I need.
-Arcane Orb with Arcane Nova: Main damage ability, meant to destroy any monster from afar.
-Slow Time with Perpetuity: Hold monsters and ranged attacks as much as possible, with the reduces cooldown.
-Wave of Force with Force Affinity: Push enemies back and reflect projectiles as much as possble with the reduces cooldown.
-Familiar with Sparkflint: Pure damage increase so things can be killed faster (Duh!)
-Mirror Images with Mirror Mimics: Soak some ranged damage and help with killing mobs.
-Evocation: Can use everythng faster so I don't get caught between cooldowns.
This build focuses heavily on keeping the enemy at safe distance and for escaping from them should they get within arms reach. This build can deal with both swarms of weak enemies and the monstrosities that inhabit that dwell in the firey pits of the Burning Hells maximizing on the distance between you and them.
Ok so this is what i believe will be my max threat generation AOE Tank build. Using cleave as my primary fury generator with rend which in speculation while hitting revenge every time that it procs which in my speculation will be some pretty nasty threat generation and aoe damage.
This will be the Single target tank build using Bash as my Primary fury generator and Hammer of the Ancients. If anyone has any questions or comment please pm me i would be glad to chat about specs and classes! Thanks!
This build is designed around taking advantage of Temporal Flux to slow enemies with all of your attacks in order to avoid being hit while at the same time maintaining energy armor to reduce the damage taken when you are hit. The combination of Astral Presence and Galvanizing Ward results in no net loss of Arcane Power while Storm Armor is active but with increased regeneration for both health and Arcane Power. Teleport and Slow time are included to further increase your ability to not be hit, as well as increase damage taken by enemies. Magic Missile is runed to restore arcane power to allow you to alternate spamming Magic Missile and Arcane Orb, which is runed to have maximum area of effect in order to kill packs more quickly. Disintegrate is intended to be your close quarter spell in case enemies manage to reach you, and is runed to be a cone in front of you to more effectively deal with the close quarters.
Pretty simple build that abuses Passives Black Ice and Conflagration to do much more damage while having two elements at your disposal for higher difficulties.
We first have Magic Missile with the Split rune, this Signature skill will be our primary way to regain Arcane Power with the passive Prodigy.
Meteor with Molten Impact will be our primary Arcane Power dump. With both Black Ice and Conflagration going at the same time, it will deal massive amounts of damage when it hits.
Hydra with Mammoth rune will keep up our Conflagration up on our targets and be a dps increase in between Meteors.
Blizzard with Stark Winter rune is just a general aoe skill for high mob counts.
Ice Armor with the Chilling Aura will be the primary means which we keep Black ice on most of our targets.
Final we have Slow Time with the Stretch Time rune for a button that duals as a dps increase and a survivability button.
Our passives are Black Ice, Conflagration, and Prodigy. Black Ice and Conflagration will vastly increase our damage and Prodigy will make sure we have a high amount of Arcane Power.
General
This is a pure tanking build, mainly for team play at later difficulties (Just look at the levels the used runes unlock!) and possibly hardcore characters. It does not have much in terms of fury spenders (Only Threatening Shout) and it depends mostly on other players to eliminate targets - Especially single targets like bosses. However, it has many strengths when it comes to preventing the death of all my teammates.
I have a lot of Fury generators, but this is intentional, to allow for as consistent a taunt with Threatening Roar as possible.
Modifications to this build include switching out Ignore Pain for Leap Attack and Furious Charge for position control at the appropriate rune levels. I am likely to coordinate other escape plans with my friends before diving into dangerous situations where backing off might be necessary, but Leap Attacking away from a Brute can work well as an "Oh Shit!"-button.
Frenzy Triumph
My primary Fury Generator and damage source. Chosen due to the possibility of constant sustain (with the rune) in situations where enemies constantly die.
Ground Stomp Wrenching Smash
Secondary Fury Generator mostly chosen for the crowd control potential, which the chosen rune amplifies.
War Cry Impunity
Tertiary Fury Generator and team buff ability. More armor and resistance means longer lifespan means tankier.
Threatening Shout Demoralize
The only Fury spender in my build. Chosen because of the cheap taunt without a cooldown. Is very reliable with this many Fury generators.
NOTE: If "Inspiring Presence" increases the duration of the taunt effect, I will choose that as a passive ability.
Revenge Vengeance is Mine
A must for any Barbarian taking on the role of "Being hit more than my mates".
Ignore Pain Iron Hide
I may have been spoiled by Warcraft, but an "Oh shit!"-button is to me a necessity. Can theoretically be replaced by Leap Attack or Furious Charge, but that's something I will have to test in-game. until testing can be done, this seems more reliable to me in a group situation - The tank won't suddenly run away, leaving the monk to die.
Nerves of Steel
Passive Armor is always good.
Superstition
The extra fury isn't necessary for this build to function, with only one fury spender.
However, the reduced elemental damage prevents nasty surprises when encountering a previously unfought mob or enchanted monsters.
Tough as Nails
More armor! MORE ARMOR!
I have other builds for more casual play than this - I wouldn't want Ignore Pain for a solo build where I have to be the primary source of damage, for instance.
Pretty much based around staying around for a long time and constantly attacking using a ton of attack damage boosting and abusing lifesteal. quickly put together awhile ago when I was browsing the barbarians skills.
This is just a sample of what am i going to build when the Diablo 3 goes live. This will overcome DPS Barbarian and can clear mobs easily for farming and also for PVP.
This is a Barbarian build that I have created. Its main purpose is to serve as support alongside a summoning Witch Doctor. It is purely a dps based build that relies on crits, stuns, and a bit of fury regeneration to help execute large amounts of burst damage. It is a good AoE build that will be great for destroying big groups of mobs in a fast manner. Hope everyone enjoys it.
-My Power Mage starts off with Electrocute as the [Left Mouse] Primary Attack for quick, accurate long distance kills.
-The Chain LightningRune is my favorite rune since it allows for easy damage to multiple enemies.
-My Secondary Attack [Right Mouse] will be Arcane Orb because it gives me the right amount of AOE damage I want while letting me direct it where I want it.
-The OblierationRune will be the rune I choose to increase the damage on Arcane Orb.
-My first Key Skill [Number 1] would be Blizzard for accurate ice AOE damage.
-The Frozen Solid Rune will help slow enemies and will be used in conjunction with Slow Time.
-My second Key Skill [Number 2]will be Meteor for long distance, and accurate fire AOE when there are too many mobs to deal with.
-The Molten ImpactRune will help clear all the enemies and damage any mob wondering in the crater it leaves behind.
-Under the third Key Skill [Number 3] my Slow Time will help me and my party members control quick moving enemies.
-The Time WarpRune will give me and my party members a chance to kill the enemies inside more quickly.
-Last but not least, my fourth Key Skill [Number 4] will be Teleport to give me a last resort chance to get away from swarming enemies.
-The Wormhole Rune will allow me to quickly teleport multiple times if I need to either catch up with somebody or if I teleported into danger.
The Passive Skills are self explanatory:
Glass Cannon
-Increases all damage done by 15% but decreases armor and resistances by10%.
Astral Presence
-Increases your maximum Arcane Power by 20 and Arcane Power regeneration by 2 per second.
I just selected a build that incorporates survivability, and a good amount of aoe damage. I wanted a build that reflects a play style embodied by the Barbarian.
This build is a supportive healing build for the monk. This build utilizes the monk's ability to heal, control the crowd, and buff htheir allies all at the same time. I am pretty sure most groups would love to have one in the higher difficulties.
-I'll have stacked attack speed from Frenzy and Wrath of the Berserker.
-Massive damage stacks from Frenzy's rune, and Battle Rage.
-Battle Rage's rune and Wrath of the Berserker's rune will work well together and add extra up time of WoB.
-Overpower will, without a doubt, be the heavy hitter of this build, and with the rune should be off cooldown for the majority of fights.
-Passive skills are pretty straight forward. Stacking more crit, I will be using Maces/Axes for the Weapons Master buff, and Boon of Bul-Kathos to help keep WoB up.
