I haven't been back here because I swear there was an announcement saying the site was shutting down because interest in the game was waning and the like. Then I stumbled back onto the site and see there are new posts on the news including 12 hours ago. Very confused.
That's the official version. I think there is more than that. I think blizz needs all available advertising platforms to hype their stuff and the closing of diablofans was a big hit . They knew d4 and stuff is coming and I think and it's just my feeling that they had a part to play in reopening this site . There are a lot of people like me who don't surf the official diablo forums and instead use only dfans. It was unacceptable for this site to close when so much diablo is going to happen.

Yeah, quite possibly. I don't surf the web that much , it just seemed out of the blue for me to revive the site so fast after it shut down.
Curse was moving in a different direction and wanted to close all of their community sites, but Magic Find came in and purchased MMO-Champion, HearthPwn, and DiabloFans. When the transition happened, DiabloFans was reopened and myself & Neinball were brought on to run the site!

Myself included, after 12 years, I didn't know what to do.
I was even in the process of making my own website, I already purchased the domain name, all the social media outlets, and just began constructing when I found out Magic Find purchased us.

I have both as a small icon on the screen, maybe on d3 there is lack of notifications if there is something you, but still it does not matter at all. It takes me 5 seconds to check the site
