The whole purpose for me is to make the best use of my time. Develop skills and figure out how each class works. Watching videos can only help you out....if you don't get to try it yourself its only visual. Hand on time will prove useful when trying to break out to the front of the pack. Being in Hell mode when others are still at the beginning of Act 1 is priceless. Being the some of the first to toss up rares and legendaries on the AH is awesome, especially when you can make some coin. It can only happen if you have that experience and are ahead of the curve

Sometimes you don't always know where you stand... until you know that you won't run away.
Mainly to see how the game plays like in general. How smoothly it runs on my computer and if I need to upgrade to a better machine. Is my network good enough and how each class plays relative to each other. many reasons
I have wanted to play this game since i first saw it the day it was announced. All I wanted to do was play the demo that they showed at WWI, I would not have cared if it was all scripted I would have played it over and over. I was so desperate I downloaded Viruses hoping they were legit torrents of a demo.
Due to the 'target' release date being delayed twice, I'll be married by the time Diablo 3 comes out. Which means unless I can convince my better half to play the game with me, it looks like I will have a lot less time to enjoy the game.
Knowing my luck, the game will be released when we go on our Honeymoon lol! So even playing a beta with lots of potential bugs would be awesome.
Eh, with the delay and a Q2 target. I actually hope that they release it after summer break I'll be so busy with school around april (ACT) and May ( AP exams) and late May (finals) D:
There are a number of valid reasons for me wanting to play the Beta, I want to get a feel for the game and get involved in the atmosphere of Diablo. I have played D2 since the beginning back in New Zealand and brought my love for the game over to the States. I am fussyy when it comes to games, a lot of them do not excite me much but Diablo always kept me interested and always drew me back.
On a technical side I want to see how my laptop performs with it and check out the gameplay plust the differant systems in the game. I want to get a feel for the Auction houses and crafting.
And lastly I just want to play the damn game because it is going to blow my mind!!! and the full version more so.
I wouldn't care how long it took them to release it...as long as I got into beta! Yeah knowing Blizzard it won't be out till mid year maybe even later. Then again it will be as close to perfect as possible and I can't wait to see what they have in store for us. Diablo II honestly scared the living crap out of me when I was playing at night. Made me all claustrophobic and shit
Pretty simple really. I'd like to check it out in more detail before it is released to get a better idea what I'd like to play come release. I played a bit a blizzcon and the monk was great because it was so op. Blizz pretty much stated everything was jacked up anyways. Not going to know what is going to suit my game style until I actually get some real game time on it.
I am a huge fan of the Diablo series. I enjoy playing D2 with friends, and have already pre-ordered my copy of D3. But I also have an eye disability which sometimes slows me down in-game. I would like to get in on the Beta to have some time before launch to audit the game and experiment to find out ways to better cope with areas that may cause me difficulty.
Either way I really want in, to lend a hand. Beta testing is about finding bugs and glitches. I was a tester for StarCraft 2, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Due to originally expecting it to be out in December and now having to wait an eternity to play the game of course Also due to the fact that I want to see whether I will like it before I purchase it and provide some feedback of course.
I know a lot of people would say I don't deserve to play the Diablo 3 beta, since I've never played any of the other games. However, I grew up in an extremely conservative household, and whenever both games came out my dad sat me down and told me how even thinking about playing those type of games would be sinning against God. Thankfully, I left that life some years ago and have been enjoying many things I could never before, for example, I just saw all 3 Mummy movies and both Scorpion King spin-offs. The last mummy movie was kind of 'meh' but overall a great series.
Partially I want it just to see how well it runs. It's always a gamble buying a game and then finding out how playable it is on your machine. Unless they have some sort of starter edition theres no real way to find out.
The reason I want to play beta is because ive been waiting for this game since the rumors of its development while playing d2 way back ages ago. I started playing games with Diablo, so its pretty much origins for me. I cant wait to get back into sanctuary.
Ive watched alot of diablo content, finding which char I wanted to play when it came out and all that. However, now that ive watched everything and its still going to be months away im getting so impatient lol. Maybe the beta would be a good fix while I wait for the real thing.
I have been waiting for D3 ever since i started playing D2. That was about 9 years ago. I know that there is only a tiny amount of content, and that it will probably make waiting for the release harder, but I just cant wait and really want to give the beta a go.
This may be strange but when I play a beta vs not playing a beta for any of the previous games I have played it has made me feel a bit closer to the game and community. I also enjoy helping others when they start a new game and playing in beta gives me that much of an advantage to be able to assist new players. Granted betas change quite a bit till final release but once you've played you feel like you were a part of the building process towards something great.
I really just want the chance to go through the motions and get a feel for the new Diablo before I get into it on release. Sure it probably will only take someone like me who has played the rest of the Diablo franchise to death, MMOs, and other similar games a short time to actually get comfortable with motions, abilities, etc. But I still can't help but get the urge to want to go through the motions beforehand. Another reason is I've simply been following this game for so long I really just need a taste to hold me over. Streams just don't do it for me.
Okay, ever other game ever created, I'mma let you finish, but the Diablo games are the best games OF ALL TIME!
Yes, that's coming from someone who played D1 and D2 from the beginning, and still has no beta key. I want - no, I CRAVE the opportunity to play Diablo 3. And if I get to help it's design along with some input, that's even better! Who wouldn't want a chance to have input in fine tuning what may just be the best video game of all time?
