I personally think the a big part of the whole "Is Diablo 3 dark enough?" debate is a result of the removal of "Fog of War" in Diablo 3. From all of the D3 footage we've seen, I haven't seen any narrow corridors, doors or any fog of war in any of the playable areas. All monsters that are on screen are visible at all times and all of the playable areas seem to have a wide open feel. What I'm saying is that if the monster is on the player's screen, it's there and visible at all times.
Do you guys miss not being able to see half of your screen or the monsters if they are behind a wall or closed doorway? I'm just curious.

Some people tell me I'm going to hell. I just let them know that I've already packed my bags!
I only miss the narrow corridors, FoG I think is fine, theres a video of all these new areas that we haven't been shown yeat and they look dark, light whatever they are they're meant to be like that and I love it.

Not even Death will save you from Diablo Bunny's Cuteness!
What? You can't see monsters in D3 unless you are in LoS of them. If you walk by a room you have no idea what's in there until you ENTER the room, or as you turn a corner. same as D1 and D2.
Edit: They can even hide behind pillars. As far as the narrow corridors go, I don't miss those at all. The more open spaces (for some parts, there's still narrower spaces, just not as terrible as say maggot lair from D2) result in more fun for gameplay, as you can use the environment to your advantage. There's also a lot of skills that just wouldn't be fun if everything was a 3 foot wide corridor, like energy twister, many aoe's and the like.

There are narrow corridors on like the 3rd and 4th level of the cathedral. Sometimes, it takes a narrow corridor to find the exit from level 4 to the crypts. They are more annoying than anything else. In a harder difficulty, I'd probably try to filter large groups into those corridors to control incoming attacks.

True, there's also narrow corridors in places like the royal crypts. All in all, we haven't seen more than 5% of what D3 has in terms of dungeons, actually probably less.
Also this thread doesn't make sense, since D3 does have LoS for monsters, or FoW, and has places with narrow corridors.
