I was discussing D3 patch with some other players. Perfect Primals don't make too much sense non-season for us non-season players that don't have a lot of time to grind as we can pretty much be sure to already have really decent gear and perfect Ancients may not be a huge upgrade.
Wouldn't it be better to have 30% better Primals non-season and perfect Ancients season?
Other than the coding mess it could be implementing it in the D3 server side I think it's the best of both worlds.

Just a suggestion.
no this is a huge facepalm. Do you know what happens after a season ends? All gear rolls over. Not only that like IceOner said huge programmer issue.
There will be more incentive to play season if this ever happened. the season regulars after roll over will be able to combine Perfect ancients (gloves, ammy, rings) and Primal ancients (weapons, off hand, and other mainstat depend gear).
I don't think you fully thought your argument out.

Yes, they'd have to stop the rollover of items for sure, I thought about that.
It wouldn't matter if perfect ancients rolled over after season...
The point is that 30% stronger Primals would never be part of seasonal play if this type of thing were implemented, but non-season players would still have something new to grind for.
I don't care how, but Blizzard please bring back v1.0 Primals some way, some how!
Primals v1 are just a nonsensical power creep system; actual power provided is minor (we're talking about 2-3 GRs on a 2k paragon character) and will fuel even more the botting phenomenon since it would be at least convenient to farm countless hours hoping for Primals.
Primals v2 are a better implementation since they have next to zero impact on power creep and botting for them is next to useless. Anyway they are just a bit of flavour for people really interested in "finishing" their character and most people won't even care about them, save for getting one or two during a season if they play a lot.
Generally, Primals are just a "meh" addition overall. v2 is way better than v1, but any of the two have very small impact on gameplay. Blizzard should add new gameplay systems, not tiers of items which are already obsolete before actually coming to live.
While I agree with the "meh" appreciation, v2.0 is just beyond worse.
Intent is to provide back the "Oh Shit!" feeling when something really good dropped, at the beginning of the game and in other Diablo games.
v2.0, as openly expressed by hundreds of people, gives no feeling of advancement at all
2-3 Greater rifts in a 2k char is too low, but it is something to aim for.
Power creep is not something to fear of. It would be better if they wanted to provide a new gameplay system, but you know they've had the runes option there since ever, and they just don't want to do it. So, if power creep is the only thing we can get, at least is better than nothing.
About botting, it's no longer the issue it once was. And it shouldn't be preventing players from receiving new stuff.

lol blizzard don't care about non-season at all, wake up, they've spit on us a long time ago.

I'll keep it simple.
