Hmm, I didn't notice all the cosmetic stuff that came with it...now I'm considering it. Just kind of annoying how you can't get the game digitally and have them just send you the extra stuff.
I hope here in Brazil it really DOES cost extra 40 dollars, because SC2 CE cost about US$ 350 while the common version did cost the same US$ 59. That's simply ridiculous.
Brazil is walking towards becoming one of the most expensive countries to live in... I don't find surprising that europe's and US's tourists cities commerce are welcoming brazillians so much nowadays. It's pretty common here for people to travel over there to do some shopping due to the absourd high prices in here. There are some places in Rio de Janeiro that have a higher rent than the most expensive commercial areas in NY. I remember when the PS3 was out, it was cheaper to buy a ticket to Miami, buy a PS3 and come back than to buy it here.
So, when you think about if it is worth to spend 40 extra dollars in the CE, think about people who have to pay about 300 extra for it.
Diablo III: $59.99
Diablo II: $14.75
Diablo II LoD: $16.75
Average 4GB Flash Drive: $2.00-5.00
Average 24-Song CD: $12.99
Average Blizzard Art Book: $15.99
Average 2 Disc Blu Ray Extras: $14.99
Average Flash Drive Dock: $9.99
So with the CE you get Diablo 3, a better way to reinstall Diablo 2 instead of downloading it from Blizzard, and a bunch of mediocre stuff probably not worth looking at.
Does anyone know if the 1:1 price ratio is also working for other countries that their currency is LESS than American Dollars (making it actually cheaper) or are those greedy bastards (who ever is in fact at fault for this) only picking and choosing the higher prices?

I agree with feminism. I don't think that it's right that for every dollar a man makes, a women gets 70 cents. Why do I only get 30 cents and some chick gets the rest?

I agree...there is like nothing there I would want.
I have D2, and if I wanted to play it, which I dont, then I could install it once and just copy the files over to a DvD and/or storage HDD. You do not need to install it!!! It is much much faster to just copy the files over to your hard drive.
I would never listen to the songs, nor look at the art book, nor watch the Blue Ray Extras. And even if you did, how many times could you look at them before tossing them onto the bookshelf? Once at most for me.
Totally not worth it to me.

One is never hurt by being given additional choices, only by taking them away. A QUADRILLION MAGIC FIND is worthless if you can't kill shit!
I'm only interesting in the ingame Diablo 3 stuff. The question is, can the wings be reused and how many dyes do you get. Will probably end up being something where you use it, upgrade your gear, and then its worthless...or you never end up using it because you don't want to "waste" it. Curious as to what the banner difference will be too.
I don't know how they're going to work the wings and stuff in, hopefully it's just a permacast or maybe even you equip an amulet that gives the effect. Perhaps it will be like a charm from D2 where just having it in your inventory equips it.

Charm sounds more likely since some people would want to play with the wings on...its not like you can sit in town and have everyone see you.
It would definitely need to be something that could be turned off if a player wished.

In Australia, the normal edition is selling between $89 - $99 AU (and our $ is worth more than US).
I'm not sure about the collectors edition, it isn't listed yet...
However, I would think it has to do with shipping from one country to another which determines how much a store is selling anything really. Since the Diablo 3 is made in America, the shipping of the game to stores within America is a lot less than that of other countries, and is why it is more expensive in most other countries. =)
I know that definitely I will be getting the CE - from seeing CE's of other games being around $150 AU - I would expect Diablo 3 CE to be around the same.
If I lived in AU and didn't want the CE I'd buy the digital copy.
Yeah. But even if they listed the CE for digital download I would still buy a hard copy. I want the box and all the physical stuff hehe!
I've been waiting 10+ years for this game, I'm not saving a penny when it comes to taking the full experience. I don't mind waiting a few days after release to play it, I've already waited a long time, a few days won't be anything compared to that. =)
I also live in AUS, and I am definitely going to try and get my hands on the Collectors Edition. Been waiting all this time and would like to show some appreciation towards Blizzard for the game and all the loot inside
I am getting the collectors edition - already had D3 on pre-order through EB so just going to upgrade a pay another $50 to secure the CE! Can't wait!
I don't have a lot of cash but screw it - been waiting a long time and this is the ultimate game for me - I just have to get my hands on it!
It's a one time purchase for something that has been eagerly awaited for nearly 10 years... well worth 40$ that most of us can make in less than 30 minutes lol

Just preordered it in my local store but supposedly all preorders for the last few years will get rolled first to collectors edition before me.
Not happy since I thought we had to wait for Announcement before we can order it.
