After reading Jay's Tweet, it seems like release is almost here. Obviously this is self-hype. But all the beta is doing to me at the moment is craving for the full release. Only time will tell though if this is the last patch(Bug and tweak patches not included) before announcement.

I heard this about last patch that it would be the lastbig update patch patch 13 and now we got patch 14 which feels almost bigger than 13

Obviously majority of the Dfan community read Jay's tweet, but I believe that there's probably going to be a minor patch (patch 15) to finalize diablo 3. Still looking forward to next week to see if there's going to be an announcement.
The amount of teasing and stringing along diablo fans for weeks really turned me off the whole release date announcement hype honestly. It will probably be monday, but they intentionally cried wolf so many times I don't even know or care if this time its really going to be it. The game will come out when it does, and I will buy it on release and love it I'm sure. That said I've never been more disappointed following release hype than I have been with diablo 3. I feel like I've been trolled by blizzard and insulted for even wanting to follow the beta's progress. I find the constant teasing with the words "soon" and jay saying shit is imminent when there is more than a weeks time just overall poor form. I feel like I would have been legitimately happier had I just ignored everything and not followed the release info, which is the biggest sign of a PR failure on Blizz's behalf.
In several interviews the queen of egos Jay trollboy Wilson said that the pvp aspect of the game is the last of their concerns. Fine its not an E-sport and its understandable, but to not focus enough that it couldn't be available upon release what a joke. While I love so many things about the Diablo series Diablo 2's pvp though unbalanced at times and chaotic was fucking epic. It was a major factor in replay-ability of the game. I know they still plan on releasing it eventually, but shit they delayed the game enough now they are delaying huge aspects of the game.
this is an acceptable cut to get the game to us ASAP. this just makes me believe itll be a very short time frame between release announcement and release, because if they had 8-12 weeks they would be able to finish this. hoping for less then 4 weeks from announcement *crosses fingers*

I dont think a thursday release makes much sense. They release on tuesdays because that is when they take the servers down anyway. They need to pull them down to activate the game, so they do it on tuesdays. Is there any reason you choose April 19th?
I find April 24, and even moreso, May 1st (both tuesdays) to be a much more realistic dates

why not the 16th? if the release date were may 1st then they would not have to cut pvp out to make the release date because that gives them over a month to fix it up and put it in..... im saying the game will be released 4 weeks or less after the announcement.
btw blizz will never annonce release date on anyother day but Mondays so if its not this monday it will be next one but next one is WoW MoP press release so :PP it must be this monday .. and i know about 19th april from a special place taht i can't share with u guys
