I didn't realize there were going to be guns in Diablo 3! Anyone else?
From the DH page...
"Demon hunters are able to pepper the battlefield with scores of arrows and projectiles, or snipe distant enemies with a precision undreamt of by other heroes. Their arsenal includes longbows, guns, grenades, hand-thrown weapons, and even dual-wielded crossbows."
Pretty sure I remember a blue saying once that there will be no guns in Diablo, and agree with the others that it probably refers to the one hand pistol grip crossbows that are the DH signature weapons.
I would also be very disappointed with the game if 'guns' as we know them entered the Diablo Universe. Grenades and firebombs I can live with, rockets were a bit of a stretch but I'll see how they go. Guns however, in my mind, would ruin the medieval fantasy feel of the game and would ruin all immersion as badly as if Blizzard sold rights for the DH to wear only all Harley Davidson branded leathers.
I hate to break it to you but Firearms were available during the later stages of that time. Granted most of them were quite useless except for the noise and the smoke it created. Most of the weapons that used gun powder were large cannons and used as siege weapons. But some rifle sized cannons started to show up likely in 12th century.

On Strike and supporting Fallout 4 Mod Makers
Some fallout 4 mod makers have had their mods stolen and uploaded and downloaded on Bethesda's site for the Xbox One.
My question is, do homing missiles or exploding bombs or grenades count as -rockets- for the DH passive ability which increases rocket damage. I'm guessing bombs and grenades no, but missiles yes?
First, I really am against the idea of guns in Diablo. Didn't even like it in wow. Torchlight? Sure w/e that game blows anyway.
Second, it's pistol crossbow, not a .45 What am I supposed to shoot arrows out of my smithy? There would have to be bullets, and magazines.
Third. Yar there ARE bombs and missiles, it's called gunpowder inside a hollow clay sphere with a fuse. Are you going to argue that because mario has bombs, he should be packin too? Chinese had some firework type missiles way back when, and it fits with diablo imo.
Right, and just because it looks and acts like a gun, even at close-up, doesn't mean it is.
Even though the game has lasers and self-aiming sentry units... no, hand-held weapons must strictly remain in the fourteenth century.
And the draenei didn't use a spaceship - sure, it was an intergalactic travelling vessel, but not a spaceship.
I have no idea if your blathering on at me, but I'm just saying what seems to be confirmed at this point. I think guns could work in Diablo if it was done right and have always thought so, but at this point in time it seems there are no guns in Diablo 3.
You can keep on ranting about irrelevant stuff now.

Edit I just read that now, guns wouldn't be out of place with all the gunpowder we have going on.
Ya I wonder wat that means. ik they arent confusing it with xbow pistols cus those are listed after that. hmmm.

Trailer's show us what type of weapons we shall have?!?
And someone said it was the grip of a crossbow anyhow...
I dunno, it might be, but I'd find it weird, the way she hands it. You just don't handle a crossbow that way it
Of course, seeing as all the skills she uses and the monsters being killed are from the game, I would expect the weapons to be too.
When you look at the trailer you see the grip is the same as the crossbow she was holding so.... yeah.
Even if it was a gun, it wouldn't mean anything at all. A trailer is just a trailer.

Last we heard, no guns in Diablo, haven't seen evidence of any either.
I'd like to keep guns to the Torchlight world though =]
Imo, that is evidence. Personally, I hope that there will be guns! I love guns IRL
Which people have said like 10000 times it means pistol crossbows.
