There are several Diablo references in WoW, like a weapon called "Wirt's Third Leg" the Mini-Diablo pet, "Cow King's Hide" and Tyrael pet. What WoW items and references would you like to see in Diablo 3, mood and tone appropriate of course.
I'll start. I'd love to see the following weapons :
none. wow is wow. diablo3 will be diablo 3. blizzard is learning how to make diablo 3 better from wow but i don't think it would be a good idea to put items from wow into diablo 3.
I don't want to see much but it'd be funny to see a few. Like a NPC named Wrynn or a monster named Hellscream or Gorehowl. Nothing over the top, just something for the people who have played WoW to chuckle at a little. As far as item's, most don't seem like they'd fit.
If people really believe wow doesn't have an impact on diablo 3 they're in denial :X Fury compared to Rage. Arcane power for wizards (mage)? A spiritual resource for monks(holy power defensive healing hybrid paladin).
Even at fundamental levels there are similarities, and why not? It's their system- tried, tested, and proven.
Overzealous much guys? Wirt's legs say hello from most WoW and Warcraft 3. It's all fun and games, don't hate on WoW just because it's more colorful. There are plenty of iconic things that can be translated wonderfuly. I bet 10 euro there's a Leeroy reference in Diablo. :]

And so I am not completely off topic, I'd also like to see the Doomhammer in Diablo 3.
For everyone up in arms about this thread saying "none, leave diablo be" I think you are misunderstanding the idea, because some of you are referencing items in WoW that would transfer over that you think would ruin the game. thats not what we are talking about at all! nobody is suggesting taking an item (graphical design and stats) directly from WoW and putting it in D3.
I'll give you an example. everone knows the SoJ (stone of jordan) from D2. It was a pretty big deal, so to add a little bit of funny flavour to WoW, they made a BoE epic item called the staff of jordan (SoJ) get it? no time-space continuum breaking item ripped from D2, but enough of a connection for people to go "hey! I see what they did there! that's pretty cool"
A similar example from WoW (jeez it's been so long i cant really remember any of the items) would be like a helmet for barbarians called "Crown of the wraith king" or "Frost lords crown" with a bit of flavour text to do with the lich king such as "there must always be one to maintain control"
now does that make things a little bit more realistic for you all?
just thought I'd add a bit of clarity (sorry about my poor WoW references, it has been a couple of years and I can't remember any meaningful items or acronyms for items and can't be arsed looking them up)
holy power... uses combo points kinda like monk and his abilities.. not too different from spirit and the ways his abilities work. Both of which can be consumed for utility or damage when you compare the DPS spec paladin to diablo (all of which are dps). And arcane power I think had its largest debut in wow under the tutelage of arcane mages. Mana is actually nearly inconsequential for ret paladins( an afterthought), at least it was around the time I stopped playing.
Its amazing how offensive the idea is to some about putting wow stuff in diablo. I'm talking only to the people getting extremely mad about this idea. Who cares? it's something fun and harmless and if you think it will ruin the game, thats like... your opinion man. And yes it goes both ways, but come on... shouldn't be so sensitive about something so small.

The only reason I'm able to still laugh at this is because I only watched the initial video 5 or fewer times, and spoke of it even less.
