Visually I like the first one better but this is more intuitive so I'll take it.

I love all loot fest kind of game! I will be playing all of them for the next few years. Loot fest games I'm looking forward to: LotR: War in the North,Torchlight 2,Borderlands 2 and of course Diablo 3.
hmm.... the timing of this patch and sudden UI improvement along with Day[9]'s inability to stream makes me believe that beta has been going on for longer than a day.... (Sorry if I'm slow on the uptake on this one)
Makes me believe we could be seeing public closed beta early next week!
A lot of the icons look the same, making this even more-so a necessary change. Got to hand it to to them for this, a simple fix to one of those "nightmarish point of comparison"s.

The old one looks nicer in it's design imo... But the new one obviously is better since you got it all in one page... Way easier and faster to use, especially since they are in the groups now... Offensive etc.
I agree. The groups are a nice reminder what skills are used best in different situations. Rapid cast when getting swarmed. Offensive for 1vs 1. Utility for evasive/high resistance monsters. I like it.
ah I was wondering if someone had already made this topic. I too saw it and I like the lay out of this, you don't have to scroll all the way down to see all your skills, and it catagorizes them so it's easier to choose a balance of skills!
I'm happy to see that the F&F beta has already brought in some improvement to some aspects of the game, cause small things matter to the grander picture!
I like the layout of the new one, but I'm hoping that they add a background to it. Also, I'd like to see the edges surrounding the section titles a little more polished. But that's just nitpicking.
Old one for reference:

Glad it tells us which skills are the quick spam skills.
That's very interesting indeed.
Cost: 15 Arcane Power
This is an Academic spell. Academic spells cost 1 less Arcane Power every time you gain a level.
Hmm beta that only goes to level 13... tooltip that would be negative if there were 60 levels... are you thinking what I'm thinking????
The real game is only 13 levels!!! Blizz is going to troll us all come December.
=P

I'd say the cost will go up with level, just.. one less additional arcane power per level than other spells? That's my guess
Edit: typed mana out of habit

Glad to see the beta is already giving feedback, though I'm pretty sure they were planning this change.
