We know that the runes will be randomized in terms of the effect on the skill (as well as a random attribute bonus)
But, in the screenshot that was given at Gamescom, there were still Red, Yellow, and Blue runes.
My question, does each colour have 2 different changes it can make to a skill? Were there originally 6 different effects for each skill, but they've just compressed them into 3, and making it essentially a random 1 of 2 skill that's assigned, with a random attribute.
Or, will each rune have the potential to be anything? (Seems confusing if this is the case)
Last I read was that runes will be unattuned when you find them and when you place them into a skill they will turn into a specific type i.e. crimson, indigo, alabastar etc and they will then be a specific to that skill as well so once a rune is put in a skill it will only be able to be used for that skill. That may have changed but it what i last read on the subject
Blizzard told us they will try a different approach (unattuned) and see how it works but that have not made a final decision on the issue, so they can go back to the previous mechanic.
So it seems that we still have five runes and 7 ranks, but we know little about anything else.
