No one cares about nonseasonal players. Your completely empty leader boards are indicative of that. Blizzard sure as hell doesn't care. Why should they? There's no demand. If you're not going to sack up and go seasonal like the rest of the player base, at least don't whine about not getting what you want for a dead mode!
That's like if I sat here and complained about lack of support for Diablo 1. Blizz I can not believe you are not releasing constant new updates for Diablo 3 vanilla. Vanilla D3 players getting kicked in the ...AGAIN.
It's totally fine for an era to be two or three seasons long.
No it's not. For example i play monk. In 3 seasons we will have 3 builds with the 3rd one being the strongest. So, why compete with first 2, since the 3rd will place me in the leaderboards after all?

No one cares about haters like you. Our "completely empty" leaderboards are from people with jobs, lives and other interests, who don't have the time to farm everything from the begining. You can't force seasons on everyone.

Because eras are not meant to be a competition. That's what seasons are for.
So its either, grinding 12 hours every day or no competition? Should we remove the NS leaderboards all together?
You want competition but not grind 12 hours every day? Well, then nonseason isn't fair as well. It might be fair for you, because you've played for so long that you don't need to grind anymore. But others can't compete with you because of your head start. That's why seasons are the better place for competition. It has a defined start and end and nothing outside of this time frame has an impact on your performance. That's fair. Nonseason is not fair to begin with.
But still, this game is not made for competition, keep that in mind.
If its not about the leaderboards what is it? Diversity in play? Or 1 month in which (with a good group) you can get all sets and items? Head start on what? I don't have 3k paragon, i am 1500. Most of my playtime (1500h) was in vanilla to get 3 characters to paragon 100, which in todays terms you get in 2 hours. How is it unfair to others that i don't wanna farm for a ramaladni's gift for a week in order to use the weapon i found?
Bottom line, there is a reason they split it to season and NS. Season is for gamers, people who have many hours to spent. Non seasons if for casuals.
Season is not about how good a player you are, or what grift you can clear. It's about how FAST you can do it, meaning 8h+ gaming a day. If you have a job, wife and at least one more hobby you will see its not possible to compete with that.
If it is forbidden for a casual to have competition with other casuals, so be it...

Funny that they are more competitive than season leaderboards though... some people even use the argument that only the ones who can't really compete in NS anymore would say seasons are more competitive.
It sure is harder to rank high due to extremely high paragon ppl, they have stated that eras would only reset when patchs change our max attainable grift clear, and since EVERY patch has done that then every patch requires an era reset, the problem was how they handled it last season, tbh the initial eras were good, but hey, it's blizzard and they always have to chance that which is working so...
Edit: seems like this era will be like the last, i asked a blue and i got this response:
Kallizk 14 hours ago:
What about the era? will it be like previous seasons or like the last one?
Tyvalir 12 hours ago:
@Kallizk: I'm guessing you mean when the Era will end? Basically, Season 6 will end on July 22, and the Era will end sometime after.
blizzard have trash instead of brains for sure. it was ok for era and season to end at the same time. i was pretty angry 3 month ago when this happened for the first time, but now, i'm just done, no solo-pushing for me, no-seasonal solo leaderboards have no-sense in this case

Excactly this. I am done with playing the game since leaderboards was the motive for end game. diablo may be rifts and gr 50 for some people, and 8hours + per day playtime for some others, but there are people somewhere in between those two categories. It's sad blizzard can't see that.
why a 3 years old account worry about a 3 months old account? There is no point if you are not strong enough to compete against ppl who played their characters for 3 months.

cmon, mate) 3 month is enough to reach 3500+ paragon, even in this season/era. and people with summarized seasonal and ns paragon are able to plya in ns-leaderborard, seems unfair, but not even this is bad, much worse is that the new patch is applied before era ending, and we will see new strong build beating previous versions
Wait, why the hell someone on Earth would think Seasonal is for competitives only =)))))))))))))))))))))
I play 1-2 hours per day, may be up to 4 on weekend, i'm not competitive and who the hell gonna stop me and so does thousand of ppl playing Seasonal just because we're enjoying the fresh start and the progress to perfect our items AGAIN LoL
as what you've said then everyone on Seasonal right now should all be at 2k paragons and that would be ALOT of ppl with no life lol
It's so funny that somehow ppl like you with paragons stashing from the beginning of the game, continuing scaling level and tonnes of items perfected over the years gonna be afraid those who slowly earn exp from the scratch and crappy items which only fit certain builds.
If you dont want your ass to be move on the leaderboard then the least you can do is to pick it up and push to maintain your record. Not all of seasonal players has insane paragons and those who have, they probably already have te same insane para on non-season and so, you would never be able to compete with them anw. Those who doesnt then they earn the place themselves cause wherever they play, they would determine get to that paragon anw .
And also, when Season ends, everyone becomes Non-Season Players, so stop moaning cause it's our right to be compete. We will be NS Players too, remember.

They why have 2 separate leaderboards smart@ss?
Here comes the smart answer D-ass, repeat, again. There are ppl enjoying the fresh start. And fresh means everything will be started from the scratch so therefore 2 separate leaderboards.
A gaps between 2 seasons and the merger of seasonal and ns players is to let seasonal players can reflect the progression they've made throughout the season, such as the improvement they've stacked on the long-term character and , the comparison between them and other long-term players. Seasonal now no longer offer special items or legendary gems, hence there is no reasons to hold ssl players from competing in the waiting period since we have no privileges and only the minority of seasonal base are able to get in leaderboard.
stop talking stupid things like this, monk and wd, for example, got builds that are stronger, open your blind eyes and watch PTR, previous posts were about solo gr, not 4man, mb wizard will be the only class with lower solo lvl

If it is forbidden for a casual to have competition with other casuals, so be it...
You can claim one mode is for "casuals" while the other is for "gamers" but in no way shape or form is it true just because you claim it to be true or want it to be. Point in fact, the game is what you make of it regardless of the modes you choose to play in.
You seem to also claim Era was explicitly intended for "casuals" to have their own mode to compete in void of Seasonal players. The reality is once those Seasonal characters role over those "gamers" at any point can use those characters to top the Era leaderboard if they chose to, so your argument has no real merit.
You are also somehow ignoring the fact that for every additional Era those who have been playing since the beginning will have a drastic advantage over new players therefore the idea that even competition exists in that particular mode defies logic.
I find the excuse of not having enough free time to compete, as a reason for why competition should somehow be adjusted to meet your needs, as a rather silly complaint when the very nature of competition is based on an individual or group of individuals willingness to sacrifices everything else in order to compete at the highest level possible.
Let's go over a list of things that are true about Era and see if your idea of it being intended for casuals is true.
1) characters, gear, materials, and paragon carries over to each new Era
2) Seasonal characters, gear, materials, and paragon roll over to the next Era
3) there is no limit in the amount of time you can invest in either mode
4) there is never a wipe of previous account progression other than the leaderboard wipes themselves for Era
5) until otherwise stated more Era's will continue to become available as long as the game continues to provide content
Now please explain how that list somehow gives "casuals" or new players a mode (Era) that provides them a place to compete on an even playing field while "gamers" have access to that same mode.
The bottom line is casuals can compete against other casuals, but the reality is there is no current mode in Diablo 3 where they can do so without also competing against players willing to invest drastically more time and effort.
The core of this game is not pushing GRifts. That's something dedicated players seem to forget a lot.
I think NS players deserve to check out how high they can get on their ownleaderboards. That's all i am saying...
I can respect this dissatisfaction. This is a reasonable complaint to make. The Era and Seasonal leaderboards should begin and end at the same time as long as Blizzard wants Era to exist parallel to Seasons.
Imo, they should have just made no eras for NS and one endless leaderboard. The limited timeframe is a seasonal thing. There is no reason at all to make Nonseason into a "kinda like season but not really" mode
The major problem with this would be unattainable positions due to major game changes. The perfect example is the latest patch which nerfs group buffs. If #1 was 20+ GR levels above what any player or group could achieve without insanely high paragon levels it would be rather problematic.

This is why the non-season leaderboards are being wiped, because the conventional thought is no one will be able to push them higher than they are now. So, fresh start with a lower #1 slot is being assumed. Will see how the U n Me thing actually plays out. Maybe someone will break it anyway?
Solo's probably will as the group meta is what's taking the hit?
