These are pretty nice, just watched them, gives an overall view on what's the development team's view on each class' stereotype.
Then again, as far as I'm aware the Wizard can be built to withstand a ton of damage. With all sorts of "armor" skills, and a skillset with Mirror Image, Wave of Force, Frost Nova, Slow Time, and the proper gear and passives, it would be easy to set up a "tanky" Wizard with just 1 or 2 damaging skills (like Magic Weapon and Hydra/Familiar).
Also, I'm pretty sure we can make a "tanky" Monk with shields and plenty of defensive skills (and passives/gear that generate the Spirit to use those skills).
when i watch wiz vid, i wana roll a wiz
monk, i wana roll monk
DH, i wana roll DH
Barb, nostalgia makes me wana go barb
and in the end when i watch WD, i just cant wait for release
Haven't seen these either. They reinforced the fact that I want to roll a WD first, which is still my favorite class. My second favorite class, which these videos helped me zero in on, is probably the Monk.
I uhhh...uave uh uhhhhuuh never really uh uhhh uhh uh seen those uhhhh...
You can see from those videos that Jay is in the final stretch to finish the game People tend to say uhhh a lot when he's tired or stressed. It could be the press even but the 2010 was probably more stressful for him and he didn't say that many uhhh there. Just mindless speculations, I guess as a fan I wanna have the game in MY hands by the end of the year *sigh*.
Barb still looks the most attractive to me. My first love will always be diving balls first into combat splattering demon blood and bone meat all over god's green earth.
That said, I think that latest b-roll footage is of terrible quality. Blizzard's PR/Marketing dept needs a swift kick in the taint.. the graphics looked bland and silly (even though they're not, I've seen higher-res vids that look amazing).
Worse was how the monk and DH were portrayed.. they seemed to spend all their time evading and very little time pew pewing.. the monk looked especially gimped out, he kept punching those demons and they were like "Wut? Did he seriously just punch me? What an asshole!" then they circled him up and he had to evade. DH too, she spent like 12% of the time shooting arrows, the rest dancing around with big fatty monsters chasing her down. Looked like incredibly un-fun gameplay, hopefully the DH will be better than that.. But for Bliz that vid is a fail/fail. Either the gameplay looked un-fun, which is the exact opposite effect a promo vid should have; or, the gameplay actually IS un-fun, which I find unlikely, but I believe what I see.

I was hoping he'd be a little more excited about the DH as well. I value the bounce-around pewpew types of characters, but as was mentioned; evading everything thrown at you and whittling away just isn't "fun". B-Roll really shook that desire. Yeah, I could go play another class but I have my group of friends set up to tear through this game and I long ago claimed the DH title.
Not sure if you guys have already seen this, but.. yeah

IGN interviews Jay Wilson about the 5 classes.
But my second choice is a hard one...

all 5 classes are so damn good
Anyways I'm glad that wasn't a waste of a post.
