They said something about an elaborated trade system, is there going to be some kind of auction house (something like WOW maybe) open for every player in the server they are playing ? This would be realy great to down size item sales for real money !!! MAKE GOLD RELEVANT!!!
I hope not, just because of the fact I don't want Diablo 3 to become some kind of World of Warcraft like of thing (even tho i've been playing that for many many many years)
Oh crap, Diablo 3 has a elaborated trading system that is coincidentally going to maybe be called Auction House!??!? OMG IT'S BECOMING WORLD OF WARCRAFT!!!
but in all seriousness, yes there will be elaborated trade system that will more then likely function like an Auction House in WoW, it probably wont be called 'Auction House' though, but it does not in the slightest make Diablo 3 become World of Warcraft.
People can have opinions right? I mean, I replied on the OP with what i think and what i hope. Diablo always had it's own way of dealing with trading and whatsoever. And i still hope there won't be some kind of auction house even tho it makes life easier for everyone.
Yep, your fully entitled to your opinion, but it wont make it like world of warcraft so your opinion is abit weird, but either way, Jay Wilson has confirmed there will be an Elaborated Trading System, so if you were hoping to use Forum gold, make game name's such as Trading so and so for so and so, you will be disappointed. So there is no point in hoping for it, because it's pretty much already in
I really hope there is the server AH becuase it is the only thing that keeps 75% of the players involved in the game. This is how the little guy can make money just as easy as the big guy who plays 15 hours a day. It also makes me wonder if you will only be able to get one or two artisians rather than all of them permanently. Kind of like professions in WoW.

I am on the fence on the topic of an auction house. On one hand it is great for the masses that do not want to spend much time getting into the trading game. On the other, to those that do enjoy the trading game, it has basically be reduced to scanning the auction house at the end of a play session and posting items at the market rate. This is of course an over simplification, however it does the diminish much of what keeps Diablo II alive even to this day.
Auction house or not I will be using the trade channels or games. I can imagine 100,000 players trying to sell gems or the like in an auction house, if you are into selling have fun re-listing your stuff every couple minutes.

last of what i heard, all the artisans are unlocked via quests. so you do have access to all of them permanently but its up to you whether you upgrade them or not. what i'm not sure if and i never found out, is if you lose temporary access to them when you start over in nightmare/hell; e.g. like how you lost deckard cain's ability to id items until you actually did the quest to save him again.

Curious if you have them all but maybe if you can only get them to a certain level/experience and only have like 1 Master artisian. Curious because recipes were drops in the game meaning that there are likely to be a different items/potions, etc. IF this is true then it would definitely keep gold as the currency and removing itself from the game (interest and transaction fees) creating a demand.
