Yeah everyone seems to like the female monk better than the male. If I was to make a female char, it would be the monk.
I seriously love the male Monk. He just looks so righteous. But I wanna go female Monk first not just because I usually create female characters, but she reminds me most of the Assassin. A chick with dual claws, how could I not?
tell the truth, you want her because she reminds you of P!nk. and i'll agree with you she's awesome
Given that it's likely that they'll have different narration, as in not just different voice actors but different lines as well, I'll probably play one of each eventually.
But I'm actually undecided at the time. I'll probably just make the final decision on the character creation screen

I'm not sure that's the case actually. Like they said with the Barbarian that the male and female will have different background stories, but the other classes will be the same between genders. I think this includes having a lot of the same lines.
on that part, remember how Diablo 1 had different voice acting for the same things (tomes etc) while the story was exactly the same?
Even if it is exactly like that, i'm a happy man, the heroes in Diablo II were too silent.

Well the fact that actual cutscenes now will features our characters talking is pretty damn cool. So even if I did a second play with the same class but different gender, it wouldn't bother me if they said the same lines as their counterpart did.

Well in terms of what content they provide I expect it to be roughly the same. But I'm hoping the genders will at least have slightly different personalities (obviously a male wizard should be more akin to a femal wizard than a male barbarian when it comes to behavroir, knowledge, values etc.) and thus slightly different conversations. I mean, they are after all NOT the same character.

Guess we'll see. I mean, it'd be nice, but it's actually hard keeping flow charts of dialogue organized with so many characters, not mentioning different characters including different genders.
In Mass Effect, male and female Shepherd had sort of different personalities, but with the exception of the romantic subplots they'd always say the same thing cause it's onerous having to write all that new dialogue just for having a different gender. If Blizz does it, then great. If not, I totally would understand.
Males - Barb, and Witch Doctor
Females: DH, and Wizard
My Monk is undecided. Im leanin towards female but I think ill try both to see which one looks better.

They only way they'll get me to choose a female barbarian is if she ever says "SNOO SNOO".

And damn, you're right. She kind of does. LOL
