im talking about skill customization implementation for the game.
lets say that there are 30 different skills for each character,
we know there are 5 different rune classes and 7 ranks for each
5(characters) * 30(skills) * 5(runes class) * 7(ranks) = 5250 different skill customization
now, if blizzard will have to implement the graphics for each skill this is very not doable! it will take years!
-Different rank does not mean different graphic, or anything very different. A fireball is hard to make, sure. Make 2, 3 or 4? Easy as pie.
-Not all effects are done from scratch. There's no reason to start everything from the beginning all the time.
I won't give excessive details, but quite simply, making 1 rank of a skill is harder than making the 6 others, and with skills sharing some effect with others with some modification, the work is not -quite- as overwhelming as you think.
