Figures. I decide not to put it on the front page and it gets showered with cookies, despite having no new information. Twenty bucks says if I did, five people would have been like, "lol, fuck you, nothin' new!"
Indeed, this is like Blizzard putting all the information we already know on an official page. Its good and all, but I don't see cause for anyone to care. Then again, everyone here gets excited at the smallest, most meaningless of things.
They also do look extremely ugly and out of place, still.
Anywho, I like that they've put it up, but it isn't any mind blowingly awesome information, hopefully we'll get some changed mechanics out of it soon enough. Something to tide us over till Blizzcon.

Major boss fights make unique use of health globes. Each boss battle includes a custom-designed means of utilizing these globes to regain health. For example, in one fight, you might have to split your attention between weakening a dangerous boss and slaying its irritating but ultimately less-dangerous minions in order to get enough health globes to stay standing. In another fight, the boss itself might drop health globes when it takes damage, or you might have to hunt for hidden caches of globes in the midst of battle.
I think this bit was pretty mindblowing awesome.
Or maybe I'm just in a positive mood today. *cough*
Here watch this. Souls look small and easily noticable because they move a lot. Small, pretty and not out of place, not bigger than monsters themselves
And have you seen witchdoctor casting soul harvest? Souls looked pretty cool and realistic in that one but health globes are still ugly. I don't understand how they can ruin their own visuals by those crappy big red balls

Diablo hates Jay Wilson.
Diablo thanks God for creating obesity and ugliness.
I keep wondering what will be the cooldown of potions... If it's like 2 minutes then I will keep my potions low in number and will use them only in extreme cases but if the cooldown is 10-20 seconds then they will be more usable I think.
I remember reading someplace that they said potions were going to have an insane cooldown, and were going to only be used like once per map. If I;m not mistaken it was in an interview with Jay Wilson at last years Blizzcon when it was said, granted it could have changed, but I don't know.
It's a time-based cool down on pots. Not sure what the length is but I am guessing 2 - 4 minutes.
I like the article on health globes. I wasn't too sure about them until I read it and that helped fortify my opinion of them somewhat. I'll take anything over potion spamming and I guess this is the only real viable-working solution to counter potion spam other than ridiculous cooldowns.
Did anyone else notice that bit about health skills from the article?
You might have a class skill that can help you regain health, but health-restoration skills are specialized, require careful play, and usually incur consequences.
Interesting to say the least. I'm basing an assumption off that, that... I really doubt life leech is going to be in the game now like it was in diablo 2 if they are adding health-restoration skills to the game. In fact I'd probably bet money on it. I doubt they would add a health-based skill in the game if you could just get an item that did it for you instead.
