the graphics are beautiful in d2, not sure what you're talking about...
as for the 9.99 price that would be it assuming you want to play classic
if you want to play the expansion its another 9.99 on top
At least they are working on the compatibility issues. Higher res would be great, I would play D2 a lot more often if it had better than 600x800 and could run smooth on my OS.
It won't change because it's a lot of work to increase the resolution. Modders who did this also had to completely rework the interface because it breaks when increasing the resolution. Blizzard isn't putting that much work into D2 anymore. They only make sure it works on modern computers (and hopefully do something against spambots)
There was still a lot of issues with that mod since the game is not designed for anything higher than 640/480. Yes even 800/600 is bugged since the AI for the monsters are designed for the classic Diablo II. The Zombies in the first area are the easiest monsters to see the difference.
One of the hardest things to program is the AI and I doubt that Blizzard will be looking to improve on it since it is not worth the investment in it since the game is over 15 years. It is one thing to patch it to make it easier to have it running on newer OS. I have no problem with running patch 1.09 or 1.10 on Windows 10 since I prefer to play Diablo II with mods like Zy-El or Eastern Sun
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
On Strike and supporting Fallout 4 Mod Makers
Some fallout 4 mod makers have had their mods stolen and uploaded and downloaded on Bethesda's site for the Xbox One.
For the 2k-millenium bug, I know some who works on 30+yo code... And debugging hundreds of Mb of antedeluvian code was a good way to increase your income 20 years back.
For the 2k bug, everyone was running around like a bunch of headless chooks wondering if their friggin' toasters were going to explode (obviously, the "dangers" have been exaggerated). The only reason code was reviewed/altered back then was simply to ensure that no such disastrous events occurred. As for earning income from code, this is not really relevant here either, as you would first need to assume that D2 is continuing to bring in significant revenues for Blizzard, which it does not.
I understand that you were simply addressing the general statement, but it was a statement which you took out of context. For everyone's sake, I will amend the original statement.
No one's going to work with D2's 18+ yo code dude.
has the graphics of the game gotten better with all the patches & do you get everything for the $9.99 here:

Yea the graphics actually aren't horrible at all. If they would introduce an option for much higher resolution it would look really good.
i thought they recently updated the res ? thought i saw a blue post about it did i lose my mind ?

THANK YOU ALL BUT I DON'T THINK I'M GETTING IT CAUSE OF THE GRAPHICS!
