Hi, I'm a little new to this forum but I really like it. I was wondering what kind of graphics card, processor, laptop, etc. you guys think would be capable of running D3?? I know its a little early to ask but some guestimates would be cool. I'm actually saving up for a new laptop JUST for D3
Yea, you really won't need anything heavy and besides you got a year or 2..or 5, if you saved a dollar everyday for a laptop for D3, by the time it's released you could have one that could run 3 of them at the same time lol
Lol yeah, its just the fact that the gameplay looks just like God of War 1 and 2, and I just want to make sure the laptop I'm planning to get can run D3 smoothly with really good FPS.
I think your main concern lies with your Video cards ability.
And perhaps RAM...
My best guess, would be: Minimum Requirements:
1GB RAM
DirectX 9 capable Graphics card/ 128mb
2.0GHz Processor or faster
Max Requirements:
2-4GB RAM
DirectX 11 Capable Graphics card/ 1GB or Higher
4.0GHz Processor or faster
To be entirely honest, I think Blizzard will make D3 VERY computer friendly.
I believe they will make D3 playable by low lvl PC's or MAC's and still have great graphics and speed.
We wont know, until we have the D3 box in our hands and we study the
Requirements lists...lol
Cheers.

Generally speaking what you want to look at is most is the graphics card. Many notebooks use a bare bones graphic card and like to use shared memory. I would look to get one that has dedicated memory and is of a higher quality.
I would rather go with getting a netbook or a low end notebook if you just need it for access to the internet, work, or school. I would rather build a computer that is designed for gaming, since you are going to get the best out of it and it is cheaper than getting a notebook that will be great at gaming with newer games.

Some fallout 4 mod makers have had their mods stolen and uploaded and downloaded on Bethesda's site for the Xbox One.

I'm with Hans here, even tough D3 most probably won't need a big computer, a notebook is not a good bet for gaming any game... the main issue is the video card, they don't have an optimal performance, hence they're not that good for games...
get a regular note/netbook and build a good gaming computer, besides you will be able to run other games

Or if portability IS! a concern spend your money on a laptop not a net/notebook. who cares if it weighs 6-12 pounds? ONLY GIRLY MEN SAYS ARENOULD....
Actually at Tech support for a namebrand we called all of them notebooks except for the netbook which we did not support. We supported a small 12" Screen to a 21" Screen . The HQ from the PC Manufacturer wanted us to call laptop and notebooks Portable desktop replaceable units.

Yes that is the trend now, but at the begining the were known by seperate names. Therefore they are two sepperate things. I worked for dell (which is a horrible company BTW) and they wanted us to do that also. If you buy parts (I just repair computers for a shop now as a second job) there are laptop and notebook parts thats another good way to differentiate.

Likely any system that is bought in the last year will likely be able to run it. Blizzard likely wants as many people to play the game as possible.

I could not load the diablo3.com site fully. My internet connection is too slow and then hangs on site.
No it's not, a notebook is a compact form of a laptop, a netbook is a compact version of a notebook. I wouldnt speak if I didn't know.
here is a link for those who still dont believe me.
