Blood and explosions are things that appear and vanish very quickly, sometimes less then a second. It designed to be seen under movement and not static (like in screen shots).
They don't have alot of detail, but it's because the blood are so fast that even if they have we would not be able to notice it.
What i'm not liking about it it's the amount. I don't like how monks explode things from inside out all the time. It's lame lol
well they said there trying to make diablo 3 a very balance game but they even said the monk right now is actually a bit more overpowered than the other classes but bashiok said before that monk is a bit overpowered than the other classes and after a good amount of complaints about it they will buff the other classes and make them look like heroes
I hope there is blood, blood and more blood. Pools of it flowing from a mound of corpses. I hope blood can paint my hero. I think blood will be one of those options to raise or lower graphics. High detail, just red and sadly off.

whats weird though is seeing skeletons blow up in a huge pool of blood but like i said a few months ago is that blizzard will do anything really or put things in games that dont make since at all....for the sake of gameplay
I agree, The blood doesn't need to be more worked. In action we will not see the difference, and Blizzard want their games low requirment, it's the best way to do that (where we don't see the difference).
I think blood isn't the problem as much as the sound anyway. I keep using Torchlight as an example, but anyway: all monsters sounds like they explode in blood. I think it sucks.
If the monsters screams in various satisfying ways, and the animations is more than them transforming into a ball of blood, then have as much blood as you want.
If all the blood is explained because all monsters die in a "splat", then it sucks.
What I'm trying to say is: Blood is sweet, but it doesn't make the killing satisfying. It only makes a satisfying blow or kill -more- satisfying.
i love Blood in this game i dont know why you want to lower the blood amount
Because if violence and gore is too explored it looses the impact. It's like nothing else is left to our imagination - and induce people to imagine dark and morbid scenes is the best way to add terror to something.
Imagine a "gore scale". If every monster death have a "high gore level" you will easilly get used to the violence and with 10 minutes of play you will start to want to order a pizza because all that blood looks like tomato sauce and nothing the game can show you really matters.
However if killing monsters have a "avarage gore level" the game still have the power to frighten by showing a "high gore level" content in the right time.
The perfect exemple of this is the Butcher's Lair. First you find a wounded man and a church with bizarre lights. You know something is wrong with that palce, but don't know what is it - and then you imagination start to manufacture terrible scenes. You go there and kill some monsters, but the gore those monsters represent is alot lower then what you imagine and this very fact makes you relax, thinking that those little goblins are the problem. It's like your "violence resistance" is turned down. But then suddenly you open a roon with so much gore that you can't believe. The Butcher surpass your imagination's capacity of creat morbid things execly when you're thinking you're safe inside your head.
Thats just my opnion though. People seens to like over the top violence.
Blood shold only be seen when killing a human or animal. Using weapons with a blade on it should have the most blood. Since that type of weapon is the most likely to cut the major blood vessels.
Maybe if the killing blow was made with a critical strike it would show the most blood or gore.

On Strike and supporting Fallout 4 Mod Makers
Some fallout 4 mod makers have had their mods stolen and uploaded and downloaded on Bethesda's site for the Xbox One.
I'm agree, too much violence decrease the real feeling of fear and gore! But I can say the music do a big job too for this feeling.
Hell yeah!
I remenber a game King's Field: Ancient City. This game have a dungeon (the king's palace) that scares me alot. The dungeon have nothing, just empty places and some decoration armors. The music alone did all the magic.

"In time the hissing of her sanity
Faded out her voice and soiled her name
And like marked pages in a diary
Everything seemed clean that is unstained
The incoherent talk of ordinary days
Why would we really need to live?
Decide what is clear and what's within a haze
What you should take and what to give" - Opeth

When the movie 300 was at theaters. All my co-workers said there was too much blood. I said it should have had more blood. Way more blood.
